woid - I am currently modding the paper work a bit, I'll be out there tonight with the papers - just holla at me. I'll be the guy running around with the black beanie on - lookin like a robber or something... just ask for me and someone will point you in my direction.

Meet is still set from 8-11, and I'll be able to host the meet officially with kk paperwork in hand this time around... should be good to go with police and everything!

however, i didnt get the chance to make the stickers yet, hopefully I can iron the details on that out by tuesday of next week... super busy over here... crazy schedule right now -

kory

great showing last night everyone - Pretty much everything went as planned this time around - Got most of everyone's email info, so I'll be sending out meet information along with the weather info for next week's meet.

I'm trying to arrange a swap meet again for this next sunday (october 21st) - exact details TBD, but it may change to Saturday. More than likely I'll be going for the Mitsubishi fans this time around, and we'll try to host it up closer towards seattle - I'll keep everyone posted on exact location, time, and details.

Again, we had around 70-120 cars there last night, the majority of everyone was well behaved. The police were contacted at 11:15 by our group, just to assist in making sure that everyone left the premisis in an orderly manner.

Gave everyone a heads up beforehand to make sure that they left the parking lot slow and safely - Everyone was pretty stoked that it was so well organized...

wish my camera wasnt kapoot - there were some VERY clean cars out last night, 4 or 5 supras, R33 GT-S, tons of WRX's/STi's/Evo's, as well as the multitude of rather well behaved honda guys (again, some rice, but there were some very well built hatches and sedans out there)...

Thanks for the help to everyone, hopefully it just keeps getting better. Once I gather most of the other individual's emails, I'll be submitting business proposal's to future generated meeting locations. Hopefully like stated before, the new spot will be available until 12am or later, with hot drinks, or food available....

Kory -

+12345. ive been some shady individuals in the tacoma/kent area. combined with the amount of theivery that happens down there, im not about to go showing my car off around them. but like devian, maybe things have changed since ive stopped going down that direction.

Well, no more KK meets for me. I have deduced that a gathering of this type brings too much attention to my wagon (from the wrong individuals).

I had fun, saw some nice cars and talked to some cool people. Then, myself and two friends caught a bite to eat. After dinner, I hopped in the wagon to head home. As I pass Krispy Kreme again, a bunch of Hondas pulled out to leave...one nearly hit me. So, I gave him the evil eye. He passed me with this amazing ricer fly-by, and continued to do about 80mph in a 35. I just watched him fly, hoping a cop would get him. I hate kids. All of a sudden, my radar goes crazy. I see a police car coming the opposite direction. Could it be? Could karma bite this little prick. He breaks too late, and flys by the cop. The cop pulls a u-turn, hits the lights......and pulls me over. No front plate (I admit, my fault), and for some reason I had my old insurance card that expired last month in my wallet (I am fully covered, but could not find the card to save my life).

I was as nice as nice could be, all the while he was a condescending jerk. He comes back with a $674 ticket. No warning, nothing.

So there I was...a 30-something guy, sitting in a station wagon, coming home from dinner, getting lectured by a police officer my own age, while teenage douchebags street race up and down Tacoma Mall Blvd in the background. I still cannot believe it...

I was gunna stop into the meet on my way home but by the time I got there It was like 11:30, and I was done. Too bad about the no front license plate ticket. But Ya really cant be mad.

I would go as far as to say that 90% of the meets I have ben to have attracted police attention. When you get 30 sportscars in one place cops are gunna know.
Every one of my auburn meets, alki meets, W1 meets, cops are always there.

If your gunna attend meets have a aesthetically street legal car, and proper insurance information. It is no different anywhere else, (I will admit though tacoma has more police than most places like that. but then again most meets dont end around 11:00 on a friday night.

Bleh, what'd ya expect. The Tacoma KK on the weekend is famous as the ricer hangout.

Sorry to hear about the ticket but I bet that cop didn't care about your signed waiver.

Yea Rob, that was really weird. He flipped a b***c and I thought he was gonna go after that stupid honda!! Then he sped up behind me! I wasn't even doing 35! I was like... Why are we getting pulled over and Ben was like what!? I get over behind you thinking maybe he was gonna pass me? Then he got up next to me, gave me a dirty look, cut me off and got behind you and pulled you over. I am like?????? WTF is going on? We wern't even doing anything! Then when you said what the ticket was for I was just like... wow are you kidding me? He totally bypassed that Honda and he was going like 80!

You just have to show a current copy of your insurance card and they should drop it. I'm sorry dude!! It WAS a good night till then

NO KK MEETS AGAIN!!!

I'll post up more info soon, but this is a positive thing - we accomplished our goal, and now we'll be moving the meet to another location. Please PM me your Email and we will notify those that are interested for the next location via email as soon as the exact terms from the lease holder of the location are negotiated...

The meet will be MUCH better than the KK meets, (which I will divulge through in a future post) with regulations set in place restricting who will be granted access to the premesis, as well as agreements (if you signed already, then we will just transfer those agreements over to the next form with your signature) and regulations that much be abided by - by everyone.

Also, I will include full details about the location as soon as I finalize everything with the lease manager with the next location.

I am sorry for all the incidents that may have occurred due to the asshats that we had nothing to do with, but like we have said NUMEROUS times before, Krispy Kream was only the start of bigger and better things - If there is any way we can help you with legal assistance or mitigation with your hearing, I will personally appear in court or one of my collegues will appear in court on your behalf.

As far as the progress on the future meets are concerned:

Decals get made this next week, so submit your requests for color and car outline type you want, and your desired affiliation nickname via email this week - deadline isnt set, but the delivery time is like 1-2 weeks depending on how complex the logo's become (the simpler the better).

Stay tuned for updates with the start of an additional thread in the near future. This thread will be locked soon.

Is the new location gonna be more "north end" friendly?

Tacoma is soooooo far from Everett.. :P

I admitted in my post that I knew I was at fault. That doesn't mean that I could believe it happened. Roll your eyes somewhere else.

I was rolling my eyes at how you bash "ricers" and kids but you use language like a 15 year old and whine like a girl. I know u stated you are 30 something, but your post just made me laugh. See number 2 below. No hard feelings

whine (hwn, wn)
v. whined, whin·ing, whines
v.intr.
1. To utter a plaintive, high-pitched, protracted sound, as in pain, fear, supplication, or complaint.
2. To complain or protest in a childish fashion.
3. To produce a sustained noise of relatively high pitch:

Hope the change of location brings success to your gatherings

Wow, you've cut to the core of me. I certainly was whining like a girl and using the language of a 15 year old. You have put everything into perspective for me, and I have seen the light. Can't wait to thank you in person.
