Default 2007 impreza 2.5i

I just bought my first car a 2007 impreza 2.5i. I know it's not realistic to expect to be able to turbo or upgrade the engine a lot, but I do want to make it grip the road better and remove body sway, any tips?

I'm not familiar with this model but if it doesn't have a rear sway bar get one. Also a strut tower bar, or whatever it's called to stiffen the front suspension is a good place to start. You could also look at lowering it if you don't mind increase in harshness or less practicality.

Tires are gonna be one of the biggest difference makers you can get imo.
