Default Master C's 2000 RSTi Coupe

Hello NASIOC!

I have been a long time member, lurked since 2004 when I bought my 2000 2.5RS coupe and signed up in 2008 when I finally moved over from rs25.com. Most of my build progress is on Instagram but since NASIOC now has image hosting I thought I'd start a thread.

Instagram: Chaecker5

I have owned this 2.5RS coupe since 2004 and it has gone through several evolutions:

2004-2006: N/A basic bolt ons, Apexi N1 exhaust, intake, HKS lowering springs

2006-2008: N/A-t build. Started with a small vf11 turbo and variable rate fuel pressure regulator and eventually got up to a TD04 and about 12psi of boost with emanage blue piggyback

2008-2012: built the original EJ251 with forged pistons, STi rods, and custom heads from delta cam. Ended up with a Greddy 18g and emanage ultimate piggyback and eventually had 800cc injectors and a Greddy 25g turbo running 21psi which maxed out my injectors and capabilities of the piggyback.

2012-present: decided to go full STi swap, shaved engine bay, chargespeed body kit, and go after my dream build. Life has got in the way along the journey but I have slowly been building.

Now that the thread is started, I will try and find pictures of the older build and share as it progresses.

Pictures as it sits today:

Just scored a set of Defi Link gauges in white with green backlight to match the STi 10k rpm cluster I have. Won't be using the tach, but these should look good together.

Quick update: built a custom bracket setup for the hella horns, designed a fuel filter mount for my AEM fuel filter, got the power steering system from Chase Bays routed, and am currently working on the fuel pump hanger/fuel tank and getting the engine oil cooler mounted/duct work completed.

Rear fenders cut, welded, and ready for seam sealer. used stainless rivnuts and hardware for mounting the flares. Final fitment after paint will include a rubber weatherstrip seal around the flare to body mounting surface to seal up any small gaps and prevent rubbing.

Generic 2.5" billet aluminum bracket from siliconeintakes.com. They can be found at Jegs or Summit Racing too. Comes with rubber isolator so the finishes don't get marred and reduces vibration.

2/13/20 Update:

Finished modifying custom made master cylinder brace to mount AEM fuel filter and Apexi super grounding stabilizer.

Started on cleaning up the fuel tank which includes: degreasing, removing and replacing all hoses, delete EVAP system, and upgrade fuel pump hanger.

haha thanks man - gotta hold the engine in place without a trans in there...

Got my Chase Bays power steering reservoir and coolant overflow reservoir mounted up this last weekend. Ordered some tools to flare the 5/16 fuel lines and re-bend them where I want them.

No, I just like their products. so far I am using their power steering kit, brake booster, brake line relocation kit, and coolant overflow. I am planning on getting one of their hydraulic handbrakes as well.
