My mom is brand loyal to Nissan.
My brothers and I keep telling her to just test drive other makes and she'll switch, but nope. She had a Maxima that wouldn't quit in the 90's and she's never gone back.

She's had an Altima that seemed like it was good until it wasn't, a POS Juke, and her current POS Rogue. Constant issues and complaints about the last two, but it always comes back to the Maxima and she won't switch.
Just the stubbornness of being almost 70, I guess.

That's like my mom and Subarus.

She's owned a bunch of Outbacks. She had a 2009 that was a lemon. Replaced it with a 2011 that needed new HGs before 60k miles. She still has the 2011 and they bought a 2014 new. I think the 2014 has had issues too.

I don't get it.

The 90's Maxima was a star and arguably the best commuter car the brand ever created so I can't fault her for that. However it's 2020 and things have changed.
