Sonic looks alot better. Though that's not saying much considering how low the bar was.

Trailer still reveals everything.

It's a silly movie based on a silly game. The audience isn't gonna be looking for mystery and innovative plot twists. They want to hear the original Sega music played by an orchestra and hear the "BTING" noise they remember.

I have no interest in seeing the movie, but that is a big improvement to the character design.

I have a son who is 7 so I bet we will see this. I do feel however, that I have seen most of the movie in the new trailer.

I just don't understand who chose that date for that movie. wtf

I want to go see it purely to support them for delaying and fixing Sonic. Well played.

January/February used to be where movies went to die... but maybe they're smart? Maybe there are no other Family movies scheduled for that week, so they're filling a void?

Animated family films tend to do well, even if they're not particularly good, so long as they're also a bit nostalgic for the parents. It's not going to win Oscars, but it ticks enough boxes that parents will buy the tickets.

I think parents will now consider taking their kids to see this without fear of sending them to therapy later

They could release this movie on a weekend where nothing else dropped and it might still compete for #2.

Valentine's day weekend won't be the reason it stumbles on opening weekend.

Wayne's World opened on Valentine's day. I was there, flower in hand, and stood up by the cute biker chick I went to high school with who was supposed to meet me there.

...sigh

This movie won't be as good as Wayne's World.

I don't really see the demographic who gives a crap about taking their significant others out on Valentine's Day really overlapping with the demographic who would go see a Sonic movie.

I am doubtful it'll have the impact ppl think.

I'm fact it'll be a great S.A.D. (Singles Awareness Day) night out thing to do.

Deadpool released on V-Day weekend and was, at the time, the #1 R-rated release of all time.

... but I also think that was released that weekend deliberately. I still get a sensible chuckle out of "The greatest love story ever written" trailer

I gotta see it in theaters first. After that it has my permission to die, theatrically.

Surprisingly, it's apparently pretty fun and overall not bad.

I'll never understand long movie reviews. Yes this one is "only" 6 minutes, but that's 5 minutes 30 seconds longer than the chance I'd give this pile of a movie.

Chris Stuckmann's is 10 minutes. Same overall review, it's actually not bad and was made with care. Plot is just cliche.

Basically, it's not a steaming pile.

I saw one of the last trailers before release in the previews before the new Jumanji movie. It looked kinda amusing to me. I didn't understand the hatred in here for it since then.
