You have great taste man! Hope my STi will one day be similar to you in term of quality.
Thank you man! That means a lot. Glad to hear I could pass on some helpful info. I don’t update this thread as much as I should, but it’s always motivating hearing people are still reading along.

Just wanted to say that I love your build so much!

I'm living more north than you up in northern Alberta, Canada. Your car inspires my young self to start modding but I've only got an 08 impreza 2.5i, and I'm quite new to the car world.

I made an account just to say this! Will definitely be reading more updates that come!

Thank you! On my first post in this thread, I shared a link to my narrowbody build. A lot of parts for the narrowbody WRX (08-10) will be compatible for your 08 2.5i.

Let me know if you have any questions. Welcome to Nasioc and happy modding!

I keep seeing a lot of C Light headlight options for our cars. The first ones that came out looked terrible IMO, like they were neon tubes just stuck inside the OEM housings. But the new OEMassive are growing on me.

What do you guys think?

I'm torn between giving the OEMassive C Light headlights a try or keeping my OEM Halo setup

Looks like they've moved the C lights more towards the outside, which looks a lot better, but I think I still prefer the halos. The C lights look good on the 15+ because of its more angular profile, but they look a bit out of place on the more rounded profile of the 08-14s, IMO.

On the topic of lighting, what do you think about the sequential tail lights from CT Auto Parts? https://www.ctautoparts.com.au/produ...pre-order.html
I'm still not sold...

Yeah, OEMassive offers both C Light version, ones close to the projector and ones pictured above further away from the projector. I like these so much better.

I was excited to hear about new taillights being offered for the GR, but they’re too busy for me. Don’t like the 3 dimensional aspect either. Still prefer the Valenti’s. Been happy with them for the last 4 years. Look brand new

Yeah I’ve been patiently waiting to snap up a used set of Valentis but my patience is starting to run out lol.

spyder auto is making a cheaper version of that setup, I like it that they're sequential but hate the lines. I dig the oem massive headlights, they have clean build and the c light is shaped pretty cool to our lights.

Be careful not to scoop up a set prior to the UV protectant clear coat.

Love Varis, but don’t love the LED strip on the inside. Prefer it on the outside like the 15+ headlights.

OEMassive really do look OEM. Gonna ask Lightwerkz about a possible retrofit.

Contacted Circuit Demon. They said there's no way to retain the headlight leveling motors of the OEM STI HIDs when retrofitting the OEMassive C Lights headlights, so I would lose that functionality going to OEMassive. Gonna give it some thought.

Pulled the trigger on the Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser as pictured below:

Should match up perfectly to my Blacktop Aero Rear Diffuser

Still waiting on my BNM Performance Fab rotated kit. I reached out to Evan earlier this week and he said he'll be finishing it up this week. We'll see.

I purchased some Cshape headlights on amazon from AKKON. 2 years later they look great.

Easy install and able to retain leveling motor.

So you just swapped the headlight housings entirely and the OEM leveling motors still work?

Personally, I like your halos more on our body style than the c lights. If you decide to go c lights though I wouldn't mind knowing how much you'd let your lights go for

I go back and fourth. I almost feel like a prefer the c lights on dark colored WRX/STI. I’ll keep you posted with what I decide.

Thats why i'm really hesitant to place an order from the brand since its still only one man going through all of the orders and welding everything. His ewg kits are a thing of beauty though!

Followed this build when I picked up my 14 STI and it has been an inspiration for so many things I've done to mine. Love your car.
I actually have the circuit demon headlights, it is kinda annoying you lose the HIDs and being able to raise / lower them from in the car. I ended up throwing some LED bulbs in them and I'm much happier now.
I'm still debating about going with those CT auto tails or the smoke Valeniti's.... I don't want to fork over a bunch of money and then end up hating how dark they are.

Edit : doing this from my phone so not sure why pictures aren't working, will fix it later once I get home to my computer.

Also on a side note I hate how flimsy our front bumpers are especially with driving it in the snow, I bought a TBW under pan and it’s crazy what a huge difference it makes. I was popping tabs in my bumper every time it barely rubbed before I got it.

invest in quick latches! the tabs were trashed after mine was repaired at a collision shop. they held up quite well and you don't have to drill into your fenders
