I wanted to go for the taillight replacements this time around instead of the overlays since it always bugged me the LED strip didn't go into the hatch door. These can be purchased through FASTWRX.com. They are expensive, but they are imported from Japan and are a very high quality product. When I was running the taillight overlays, I also upgraded my reverse bulbs to LED bulbs. All in all I think I had about $200 into the taillights/reverse lights (when you factor in the vinyl overlay install at a tint shop). So instead of spending another $200 on this car, I used that money towards a replacement taillight. These reverse lights are freaking BRIGHT. Almost like I have the headlights on when reversing into my garage. Good luck with what you choose! Both are great options over the stock altezza tails. |

I'm just here to say that I'm salty I didn't wait for a white STI. Your car is a reminder of my mistake. She looks real good!

But I love seeing what enthusiasts do with the other colors. Some of the color combinations are tough to top. |

Ah, the 2010 vs 2012. You're gaining heated seats, a more aggressive front bumper, and some better trim colors on the interior to name a few. Good choice! Quote:

I know, right?! Almost as awesome as the OEM dog barrier.
Got some new goodies in the mail today: Valenti Interior LED Lamp Kit & Reflector/Lens Kit Also got my 3rd brake light tinted red yesterday. We'll see how the curing cycle goes since this cold snap is hitting the Northeast. I'm hoping I won't have to get it redone, but it wasn't super expensive so I suppose it wouldn't be the worst thing. |

Alright, I would like to get some educated opinions from those who have experience with this next item.
I want to line up the purchase of the Chargespeed Bottomline Kit (FRP). Chargespeed USA wants $699 for the side skirt extensions (assuming they still make these and their site is accurate) https://chargespeedusa.com/subaru-bo...rp-side-skirts eBay sellers are asking $160-$180 for cs style replica sideskirt extensions in Polyurethane Now I've been wanted to stick with authentic items this time around. My question is: Is it just ridiculous to spend an extra $500 for an authentic name brand item considering this is just a polyurethane add-on part? Or is the quality that much better from genuine Chargespeed? I see most people run just the replica versions but I've also read some bad reviews of people received their replica pieces warped. Those with experience with this specific item, please chime in. |

FWIW I just got done installing HT Autos Sideskirts and Rear spats to go along with my OEM STi front lip and it turned out amazing on my hatch. Was impressed with the quality and fitment of the HT autos for the price, just something to consider if you were thinking about that style instead of Chargespeed.

You know me, I'd rather have it fit easy and pay the extra money then have to fab something and know it's probably not going to cut the mustard.
Congrats so far Matt. I want back in the Subaru game... lol |

Whelp, I have two gripes...
Since day 1, my first week with the car back in October, I noticed the RPM stumble at 2800rpms when the fuel cuts out briefly. What an annoyance. Especially when you're in boost and you think it's something catastrophic. I see COBB offers a Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit that supposedly fixes the issue, only compatible with their Stage 3 OTS map or a custom ProTune. Also, after going COBB OTS Stage 2+, I'm a little annoyed my injectors are maxed out: "It goes to 11." Since hitting >100% IDC, I'm staying away from Sport Sharp (S#) to keep my boost down. Anyone have any suggestions other than going to Stage 3 right away? |

The cobb stumble fix won't help if you add any mod's to the motor
It only raises the stumble to a higher, more annoying RPM range and usually throws a CEL for cylinder 3 misfire I went with a larger MHI TF06-18k Turbo & supporting gear along with the cobb stumble fix and now it stumbles hard at 3500 rpm I will most likely go with upgraded fuel rails now to see if that cures it. |

Thank you! I wish Subaru was still making a hatch. Most versatile of cars IMO, especially if you have dogs. Very proud owner. |
