Default 2019 STi Thread

Haven’t seen a 2019 STi/WRX thread yet.. so I figured I would start one.

Here’s my 19 STi, 400 miles, already has Magnaflow CBE.

Maybe because there is no difference aside from the RA short block and doesn't deserve its own thread. All it would take is for a Mod to change the title of the 2018 thread.

Mods please delete this thread and rename the already existing thread.

Wow, Nice guy there. Seems like enough of a difference to me from the 18's to the 19's to warrant it's own thread. There is a thread for every other year for god's sake. Hell there is a thread about what kind of beer ya'll like. There's a thread for old MILF's ya'll wanna hump. There's a thread bashing Trump, there's a thread leg humping Trump. There's even a thread for fantasy football, or how Ebay sucks. A thread for members north of Boston, your favorite gun thread, AND a weight loss competition. whew, did ya get all that or were you too busy learning about 2019 STI's?

There is not a thread for every other year. There are threads for year ranges which visually look the same. So basically making a 2019 thread is pointless as they are **** near identical to the 2018.

Who cares if it has it's own thread. I would rather have a condensed thread of the 19 to learn what owners think of the new short block and tune.

No wonder everyone talks crap about NASIOC at all the meets. So much whining over nothing in here. Quiet down and just focus on cars... unless this thread has somehow offended some 18 owners by existing.

I'm trading an 18 in for a 19 in just a few weeks. Yes they look the same on the outside, only a couple differences in the drivetrain, but who cares? 2019 may be the last year of this chassis and motor configuration anyway... so let it have its own thread.

What is passionate about being lazy and redundant? Something tells me if I was willing to pay $54K for my RA I am a pretty passionate enthusiast about Subarus and previous to this car I owned 2 WRXs. Mindlessly making redundant threads does not make one an enthusiast.

I understand threads for major changes like the 3 major redesigns (every 2 years) to the GD chassis or when they brought the Sedan back and gave the wide body to the WRX from 11-14 but devolving to the point of every model year creating a new thread is just stupid and lazy. It screams I'MAUSELESSMILLENIAL. Which unfortunately I am lumped in with this generation.

It used to be that moderators actually moderated. It is not hard to make a quick and minor change to a thread title and move posts into it. Honestly a bumper redesign, bigger brakes, bigger wheels, a new short block and third gear is not significant enough to warrant an entirely new thread. That just sounds like a list of off the shelf mods thrown onto any of the many cars on this forum. In fact the 2018 thread should have been merged with the 2015-17 thread.

There have been zero major redesigns of these cars. No release of a hatch model or any other dramatic changes to the cars. Just minor updates. You can literally pull any part off my car and install it onto a 2015 STi with no issues and your average person would not be able to tell if it didn't come with that car. It is not like trying to mount a 2011 WRX bumper to a 2010 WRX or a Hawk eye front bumper onto a bug eye or blob eye. There are no incompatible parts that need major modification to fit.

Watching the bar get lowered over the years has been pretty sad. Off Topic is its own animal.

I'd say spending $50k on a STI qualifies him

Woah!!! Can’t we all be friends?

It’s not like NASIOC “limits” the amount of threads that can be on the site!

I think the 2019’s should have their own thread because of the chassis/engine differences.

Speaking of which, has anyone with a 19 retrofitted the headlights yet? Curious about a halo with the steering controlled headlights

Quick question. I have a 2019, and when I grab the passenger side seat bar the seat does not spring forward. It’s actually requires some effort to slide the seat forward. If I grab the bar with one hand from the drivers seat it’s very difficult to move. Is that expected ?

For what it's worth I am glad there are separate threads for the 2015-2017 and 2018..i just bought a 2018 and am curious what others have done with the redesigned look. I don't wanna scroll through post after post of pre 2018 cars...

I would say combine 2018 and 2019 as far as member pics goes but definitely don't combine it with 2015-2017

new shortblock is only the type RA. 2019 is exactly the same as 2018

Traded in my 17 WRX for a 19 STI. Have to say it feels completely different, love the CarPlay and have Bluetooth that actually shows the current song playing ***129315;. Have big plans for this thing. Enjoy this video we put together with Michael Adkins @ m-tuned last month

this is misinformation. the 2019 sti receives a new intake and the upgraded internals/tune from the ra.

For what's its worth, I picked up my 19 STI 9/6/2018.

Great car. Love it (my 3rd subie). However, I did run into some hiccups.

https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2884747

Got the car back & it's all well. Just put my flaps on. I was a little skeptical, but I must say I am in love
