Yeah, seems backwards.
I do like the looks of the old one, on the outside at least. |

I've always understood that fwd has better turn in, it's the exit that's a problem. So maybe they're on to something.

Cliff notes & conversions for my fellow Americas - Turbo 1.4l that makes 138hp/162tq at the flywheel in a 2,100lb+/- car with a 6mt or T.C. automatic. Drops to FWD in the corners, back to AWD on the straights. no torque vectoring, no LSDs. roughly a 15lb:1hp, estimated 0-60 6.2sec (assuming the AWD system is up to it), likely closer to 7sec on street tires though.

Too bad it looks like schitt.. they have the right idea of making its FWD AWD only when needed like a one way bearing on RC cars to reduce drag.
When you've seen these Swifts blow away Silvia's, RX7's, and GT-R's downhill in the touge, you will believe FWD is very capable for carving corners.. once these cars get going they are very quick. At least with the AWD assist, no more stupid wheel spin even though FWD based. |

This design is mad old. Suzuki should bury this thing already. Hyundai and Kia have left some Japanese and American manufacturers in the dust on design.
