Once you hit that magic 400WHP number it will blow up, lol.
My stock clutch was holding up great at mid/low 400's WTQ. Once we cranked the boost and got it closer to 500WTQ it started slipping on every pull

I keep on waiting on it to! We all kind of laugh about it around here. Part of it has to do with the rock solid tune by Doug at TopSpeed, but even he just kind of scratches his head at it. The reality is that it is going to go at some point...even at these levels. I have a plan in place for when that happens but up until now (knock on wood), everything has been flawless. I almost hate even telling people because it gives them the false assumption that they can build up their car and not have to worry about a motor...which is not true no matter how awesome your tuner is. I'll just keep running her! No sense dropping a new motor in right now and putting miles on it when I can keep at this one. Doug even drove it yesterday and was smiling at how smooth it is right now. It is just a wicked fun car. |

w00t Just ordered my Bayson-R CS Type 1 Replica Lip and its headed to the Body shop for color matching the first week of December. Originally I wasn't going to bother painting it but they had some left over paint from spraying my new rocker molding and fixing some damaged paint on my door from an egg, so they hooked me up for $90 bucks for prep, paint and clear. Depending on how I like the Bayson-R product I may go back for the carbon fiber CS Style skirts as well they are offering to match my SPT trunk trim. After that its Stage 2+ Bound for the Spring Time. Hoping to do a 3 inch Catless Downpipe, AEM Intake, AccessPort, GrimmSpeed AoS to help with knock on the intake stroke, and some gauges (Boost, Oil Pressure, and AFR). After that maybe a bigger Top Mount, a Walbro, and an EBCS with a protune and see what the VF52 can do.
I am debating going a tad lower. Can't really decide though. This is going on soon too. |

yeah I kind of regret getting the Sumitomo HTR ZIII 245/40's but I got them on sale super cheap. They ended up being $500 cash for all 4 brand new but when they are done I'll settle with a 265 or 275 most likely. Its sitting at a 1 finger gap all around at the moment.

i really liked my HTRz3's but yeah i had 275's and they were not 500
the finger gap is an irrelevant measurement...its middle of fender above the center of teh hub from the ground. thats the best way to measure your actually height. finger gap depends on offset/camber/tires ETC ETC. i'm sure you've seen my car. i was not slammed but was pretty low and that was mainly achieved because the tires eliminated a lot of the gap. for the time being yes go lower, but the rear will end up cambering in more and over all it will just hurt the car unless you get roll center kit and rear camber adjustable arms to dial in your camber. also if you go lower i hope you're getting and alignment because while camber is livable with TOE is what actually kills you tire wear. CLiff note: if you ant 275's dumb your car now and let the toe shred your 245 tires while it handles like **** |

Too high of expectations BC owners...
BC: 15% function, 85% show (would give 10% but they have camber plates) The roll center/bump steer kit is a must once the front measurement: wheel center to fender is less than 13.5". One could notice under the car that the front suspension geometry is very close to parallel... Mind the car is stationary. If the measurement is under 14" and the car gets driven hard, invest. |

Thanks, and i did, yes. got the front and rear emblem, the front one was easy to switch out, as its just plastic surrounding the emblem, but the rear is a bit trickier. it's set right into the body (weird to explain) , and i did not want to chip or scuff around the emblem trying to get a plastic wedge behind it..

^^ Thats the exact look I was going for. Grill is custom bondo'd, mesh, and paint matched. I don't really like the proportions of the HT Auto grill, so this was the best alternative.

The mustache yes, but there is more plastic underneath that where it mounts to. So yes it gets rid of the badge, but then you have a hideous moulded plastic part under it. The grille in the quoted pic doesn't have any of that. So it was either dremelled or it is the HT Autos.
