Default looking to replace the motor mounts and trans mounts... so Rubber or polyurethane

ok the title says it all... im going to be replaceing my motor soon with a new motor (EJ22 beign swapped with an EJ22T built motor) so i am asking a basic question..

which is better the rubber ones like the STI Group N mounts or some other aftermarket Polyeurothane eneinge mounts?

so far i understand that the rubber is stiffer but the poly doesnt wear as much

any thoughts

I would go with the group n mounts. I would want a stiffer material to control and absorb all that stress from the engine and tranny.

You have it backwards. Poly is stiffer, but wears out faster than rubber on moving parts. On non moving parts, like mounts, poly is just fine. Its just going to rattle your teeth out. But, I don't know where you are going to find poly engine mounts, I've only seen group n or custom mounts made.
