Have a Nice Day? Ding King - Anyone try it on your Subaru?

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone here ever used Ding King to repair small dents on the car. I got my '05 OBS in Aug 2004, one day I parked my car at the parking lot while I went for grocery shopping... when I came back I noticed there are 2 small dents on the right side of the car. Ouch! One of the dents actually has the other car's paint sticking on it. I placed my finger there and did a swipe and I didn't feel any scratch. I think I can wipe the paint off on that one...(Hopefully). Both dents are small, not too deep with the size of a quarter. I'll post some pictures later on when I get home. Oh...forgot to tell you guys the location... Dent #1 (with paint) is located on the passenger side door kinda like the center of the door. Dent #2 is right on top of the front passenger side wheel area.

But I guess, should I even consider using the ding king? Or just live with the dents..... :-( I really wanna beat up whoever did the dents to my car

Pay a professional dent remover. It doesn't cost that much and it actually works.

Ding King
My friends have used this with mixed results. They have achieved the best results with round dome shaped dents.

Professional
I have used this option with excellent results. Your dings can be almost any size or shape. They will tell you at the shop what results to expect and give you an estimate. Most shops around the Chicago area run $75-$100 for the first ding, and $5-$10 for each one after that per session. So, one ding might cost $100, but 5 will cost $130. The initial fee is the killer.

The paint problem
Use 3M rubbing compound to remove that asshat's paint. Make sure you get the proper kind recommended for cars and clear coat safe.

I've used it on my g/f's neon and it worked pretty well. If it were me..God forbid...I would pay a pro, but I'm anal like that.

Ding King is good for no scratches, otherwise, you don't really save money if you wanna get rid of everything, but I like the Ding King.

I tried it with a friend. I didn't get my dings out completely because the glue is a bitch to get off.

I also had the same prob, with getting the glue off of the car afterwords. That was an unvarable pain in the ass. I would go to a professional. unless you want to get the dent out in 10 minuts, but then take 6 hours trying to get the glue off of your paint.

I got a ding king for $20, on some it worked, some it didn't. I can think of worse ways to spend an afternoon, so worth a go in my book.
