Window weather strip fell off
I was in a hurry and I hop into my car (the window was rolled down already). I close the door and a good 2/3 of the upper window weather stripping fall off and hangs in my face.
I was in a rush so I just said, "wtf?" and pushed it back into place and it stuck. As a result of this, I didn't get a chance to look behind to see what is holding it. Is it just adhesive? What's a good way to repair it when it falls off again? I love my WRX and it has been mechanically reliable, but trim parts have randomly popped off over the 38k miles I have so far. Kinda annoying.

This happened on my M3. I used gorilla glue and it has been good ever since.

The molding clips in place with the rubber lip and a metal lip inside. Look in there and you will see it is a simple mechanical solution. No glue is needed or recommended. It is a good design, but is easily pulled out. Luckily, its also easily put back in place.

This happened to my 92X, a few times. I had it into the dealer at one point, and they glued it. no problems yet, although it may be a pain when it has to be replaced.

shouldn't have to use any glue. but you do have to know how it goes back in place.

Sometimes you just have to glue it. The weather stripping started falling off on my rear passenger side and I couldnt for the life of me get it to snap back into place. I just dabbed some silicone adhesive on it(its all I had at the time) and no problems since.

Is this something covered under the 50k warranty? My rear passenger stripping also fell out, and I've tried and tried to get it back into place without glue, but it won't stay.
