I'm Christine; I build, drive, and LOVE my 2008 WRX!

Though I am far from a feminist, I am a firm believer in the power of females and our ability to break stereotypes and put presumptuous nay-sayers in their place. It's a tale that goes as far back as anyone can remember; whether it was an issue of politics, like when females couldn't vote, or whether it was a petty social stereotype, like when it was assumed that girls can't play sports. Nowadays, things have changed, but not as much as some might think, especially in the car community.

I bought my WRX in 2008, introduced myself to some car forums to see what I could learn and accomplish with it. I didn't have any friends or significant others at the time who shared my interest in cars, so I have the internet to thank for bringing me into a community of some really amazing, knowledgeable, talented people who love what I love, and who enjoy sharing what they know. I have those people to thank for helping me discover just how much I love building & driving my project Subie. Now I've reached a point where I am educating & helping others with similar interests.

I work on my own car, to the best of my current ability, and am constantly feeding my thirst for knowledge & experience, solely because I just love this stuff. I made my car fast for a reason; driving is a full blown passion of mine. Has it gotten me into quite a bit of trouble with the law? A lil bit. Guess I still have a bit to learn about being responsible...

I use my project car for events, car shows, calendars, and whatever else I can, to help benefit charities and to promote, well, anything really. I'm not ashamed of being sexy. In fact, I may take just a little too much pride in what I do and who I am. Luckily for me, it's easy to ignore the peanut galleries. I already have a few side projects in the works, but am always willing to help with any Subie events & charities, if I'm able.

Hello everyone! My name is Bee and this is my Subaru story...

Back in March of 2006 I was making my first "nice" car purchase. I had had enough of beater cars of which was a 96 Honda Civic with no carpet or traction, that had given me the near death experience more times than I could count and a Nissan Maxima that ran on 4 of it's 6 cylinders. My interest in cars came from my older brothers and friends that I tagged along with to car events. Knowing nothing about cars and based on looks I had narrowed my choices down to a Neon SRT4, an Acura GSR, and a Subaru WRX. Thankfully the SRT4 owner wanted way too much, the GSR was located way too far, and the 02 aspen white bugeye wagon had claimed my heart after the first test drive. I made my purchase for Lucifer that very same day of March the 13th. Since I didn't know too much about cars, I started with the basic easy do it yourself things. I got the windows tinted, bought him black rims with a chrome lip, painted the calipers hot pink, and got a BOV from my brother that Christmas. I honestly felt like the coolest chic around town! lol

July 28th, 2007
I finally attended an MNSubaru meet at the Firestone lot where I had met fobiawrx. He offered to help me with blacking out the headlights on Lucifer. We started dating and attended car events together... Sadly, on our Duluth cruise I got too far ahead of myself, I took a corner too fast, too wide, and made the natural instinct of slamming on the brakes. Lucifer crashed into an arrow sign, rolled, and started on fire that Oct. 13th. He was completely totaled.

Fast forward to December 13th, 2007 (oddly, good and bad things happen to me on the 13th)
Fobia and I flew down to Nashville, TN to pick up my 2nd Subaru purchase. Without ever seeing her in person I was taking a gamble, we test drove her when we got there and took her home. Di Di Mau (Go Go Fast in Vietnamese) is my 04 aspen white Sti, she had at the time 12,600 miles on her. After totaling Lucifer I had been very uneasy about purchasing an even faster vehicle, but I had convinced myself that I would be extra careful, and adapt grandma like driving habits. Of course that didn't last very long, especially having Fobia for my significant other, she went from stock to the basic stage 2: Access port V1, Megan down pipe, and APS twin tip. Eventually I caught the bug, more like got greedy .. so we went from the basic stage 2 to not so stage 2 anymore... >_<

2009 had a few more additions..
Fobia fab twinscroll Kit
Twin Tial 44mm gates
Fobia fab FMIC with Garrett 950 hp core
Borgwarner S366 Turbo
HKS carbon titanium exhaust with Hello Kitty tip
Areomotive fuel rails
Areomotive fuel pressure regulator
PE 850cc injectors
Exedy twin disc clutch
Walbro pump
Open source ECU tune at RS Motors which made 450 whp on pump gas on a mustang dyno.

2010 I cracked 2 piston ring lands.. so we made a few more modifications.. along with what I already had...so as of now she sits with
Fobiafab twinscroll kit with twin tial 44mm gates
Fobiafab fmic with garrett 950 hp core
S366 turbo- Hello Kittied out
HKS carbon titanium exhaust with Hello Kitty tip
Areomotive fuel rails
Areomotive fuel pressure regulator
5-0 Motorsports 1600cc injectors
DW 340 pump and a Walbro 255 on a hobswitch
KB boostapump
Tial 50mm BOV
CP pistons with coated skirts and domes
Chimera CNC heads
Supertech +1mm valves
TGV deletes
Clutch Masters 6 puck
Accessport new version, tuned at RS Motors on E85 made 520whp on a mustang dyno.
***********

Interior
STi V7 driver seat
Defi gauges: Oil press., fuel press., oil temp., water temp., and EGT
Turbosmart E-boost. 2

Exterior/Suspension
BC inverted coil overs
Front lip
Powder coated black BBS
Wingless

Di Di Mau is my daily driver, I hope to purchase another 02 bugeye wagon eventually so that she can strictly be my summer/ drag car. Hope you all enjoy! Thanks!

At the Ice Races a few months after purchase

Most recent and most clean, she's never clean..

We're at 20 very solid entries so voting could begin if nobody else wants to play

I want to wait a few more days however because I know there are more worthy cars still out there.

Whatever happens voting will kick off Monday morning

I'm surprised Brianne Corn didn't enter, but I know she's doing a transmission swap, and she might be doing the National Rallycross Championships too.

My name is Brandy and I live in tge beautiful pacific northwest! Portland, Oregon to be exact.
My Fiance and I started dating in high school back in 2006 the same year he got his car. (Which was one of the reasons why I was attracted to him.) He got me hooked on Subies. He use to own a 06 WRB WRX that was build. Actually our first date was to get his first oil change in it. Together we spent most of are hard earned paychecks modding it. After dating him for 3 years and many road trips and countless drives including one across country, I decided to say bye bye to my 2001 Forester and Hello to my 2004 wagon. Even before owning my car I was very active in the subaru community. We attempted to attend any meets possible including driving 300 miles to them. I love meeting new people and wouldnt trade any of my experiences along the way for anything. Since owning my car I have never looked back and wished I hadn't bought it.
I love my wagon. It might not be as nice or unique as other wagons, but I don't mind because it is MY car. In my car I have 2 pink flamingos. One my grandmother (whom passed away from breast cancer and loved flamingos) gave me when I was younger and another that reminds me of her hanging from my mirror. I think she honestly looks after me when I drive because I have been in some tough spots, and been able to get out of them thanks to my car. I bought my car from a fellow nasioc member by the name of Kelly. I have him really to think for all the work that has been done to it.
To today I still attend monthly Surgeline meets to help support my local performance shop, and meet other fellow subaru lovers.
My favorite part about owning my car is the reaction you get from other male subaru owners who just met you, and I think it is funny when they can't believe a girl can not only drive a stick, but have a subaru that at times is faster than theirs.

Enough of the stories on to the mods:
