mmt in time causes your valves not to seat right , loss of compression, misfire from fouled plugs, lots of idle issues .
if your running water alcohol injection you probably wont notice nothing cause the alcohol and water is cleaning your intake at the same time your using torco.

I ran the torco for over 25,000 miles .. in the same car, the same plugs. Never miss-fired once. I ran 32 oz, to every 10 gallons of fuel.

I saw the same orange MMT residue, but in the end, it literally looked the same as a car that wasn't running MMT. Anotherwords, the soot/carbon buildup looked exactly the same in density, just that it was a black/carbon grey color instead.

I find it hard to believe that thousands and thousands of people are using the Torco additives in much the same way, barely anyone seems to have these kind of issues.

Did you notice how the actual electrode and the arm above it are nice and clean? Unless you are running some super concentrated amount like 32 oz to 5 gallons, you shouldnt' be experiencing those problems .....

my $.02

This was dependent on the seasonal blend of the AZ fuel.

Well Torco is now sold in a slick little 10 oz bottle as well, so my numbers must have been just about right. My conservative esitmate is 92.73 octane for a full 15 gallon fill with summer blend fuel.
Hi fellas. First post here. It looks like you guys know what your talking about.

According to your calculations Valhakar, am I correct in saying that about 9oz of torco will raise my 13.3 gallon tank of 91 octane up to approximately 93 octane? I have a Solstice GXP by the way.

Also, how is everyone running with this stuff...is it causing any damage like the guys sparks plugs in a previous post ?

Also, i love your guys' smilies !!

Bump this. I want to start using torco to compensate for the crappy 90 fuel i get down here, so far i didnt see any catastrophic failure, just some orange colouring on the plugs. So i want to hear from long time users, still no problems?

I know a guy who mixes Xylene in his 3000GT VR4. Don't know what ratio he was using but he was able to pick up an extra 30-40 HP because he could really throw the ignition timing at it.

i think the difference is that toluene or xylene are aromatic fuels themselves (higher distillates of petroleum) and have an inherently higher octane rating. ie, you could run an engine on pure toluene. but you have to add a lot because you're basically averaging two octane ratings together.

like lead, torco works on a molecular level to stabilize the volatility of the fuel/air mix and interrupt spontaneous combustion. traditionally ADI is all about cooling and condensing the intake charge beyond what is possible via physical/mechanical intercooling. obviously in the case of water injection there are no combustible products being introduced to the chamber. in the case of methanol it is also flammable, and used as an internal combustion fuel in its own right, and it does have a higher native octane rating than pump gas, but the real benefit comes from the speed at which it evaporates and steal heat energy from the charge air.

the injection of torco appeals to me because it can be added in such small quantities relative to total fuel consumption to achieve pretty substantial results. that's not the case with introducing xylene or toluene where in order to achieve the same level you'd need to add quite a bit.

Yup but they are $Texas per gallon. They're not cost effective anymore.

if i lived in a 90 octane place...id be using a water alky injection system and figure out what alky/water ratio gave the highest octane advantage

screw adding torco to every tank

Technically wouldn't 100% methanol give you the highest Octane advantage?

As an adi. I know that methyl alcohol (methanol) as a primary fuel is equivalent to 113 octane...
