![]() Hello! My brother has a heavily modified 2014 Subaru Forester and the factory differential has been a weak link we've been eyeing for upgrade for awhile. What is the final drive of the rear differential and / or what are the candidates for replacement? Is there a limited slip option from another model/trim that will drop in?
The vehicle in question is a 2014 Subaru Forester with the CVT automatic transmission and 2.5l naturally aspirated FB motor. Thanks for the help!

Pics or it didn't happen. ![]() Just kiddin with ya. For future ref, cars101.com has specs for virtually every subaru from late 90's up till now (i believe he retired in the last few years). http://www.cars101.com/subaru/forest...ester2014.html Dont quote me on this 100%, but i believe the SJ forester autos are 3.70 rear diff ratio, which iirc, is same as 06/07ish WRX's. Not a huge strength diff, but it could get ya an LSD. Beyond that, i guess you're searching for a useable r180 rear diff option. Ultimately, ring gear isnt imposible to chance in either diff, so that opens a lot of options to mix and match. Also ask this if you havent already on subaruforester.org, they're knowledgeable there too. |
