Got a Crosstrek CVT? You're (probably) covered

You probably already know this, but the Crosstrek's warranty on the CVT has been extended to 10 years/100k miles. Ours failed and was replaced at 53k miles. We're now at about 93k miles with no issues. The dealer did give me a loaner car for the week it took to install.

Next is the excessive oil consumption coverage. If your crosstrek uses excess amounts of oil, bring it to a dealer and they do an oil change and give you a range of miles to bring it back. They check what's been used and in my case, they found me in the waiting room and said "You need a short block". Mine is sitting at the dealer and I'll bring it in a couple weeks from now. My dealer offered me a loaner car. The warranty is now 8 years/100k miles.
