Default Just got to use my sweet winch for the first time.

I got a winch and a cool bumper/brush guard for the FJ awhile ago and just the other day finally got it all installed.

Just used the winch today to pull the lawnmower out of the ditch.

If this winter is anything like last winter, it'll get used a whole lot more.

I love it. My wife loves it. My dad is ditching his Xterra soon to get one... They are GREAT. Don't expect Jeep Rubicon levels of rock climbing, but they're still pretty impressive even stock. Way more comfortable on the street (and offroad - no bone jarring ride in the washboards) than an Xterra or a Jeep. I've taken it through some pretty rough stuff and there's still nary a rattle to be found that isn't something I've stuffed in a pocket somewhere

Really really happy with it. I got the yellow because my grandfather had a yellow with white top FJ40 when I was a kid (I was almost killed in it too!).

Though I have to say, the new 4-dr Rubicon is VERY tempting.

Check out my gallery for some of the stuff I've done with it.

http://vostok.smugmug.com/gallery/1367334

I had it offroad the very next day after I bought it!

I get between 17-18mpg mixed city/highway/offroad.

Really not that bad.

It does around 20mpg doing all highway.

Would you happen to have a side picture of it with all "4" doors open? I'm starting to like these more and more but I'm wondering how accessible they are.

The winch looks pretty nice BTW

Lemme look through my archives. It's not the most room in the world (the suicides only open up 90 degrees. Would be really helpful if they opened up a tad more), but it's better than just two doors.

OK, that's just showing off with the mountains in the background!

Thanks. I'm trying to see how well a baby seat would fit in there...some day.

Rear facing baby seats are a very tight fit in anything but the middle seat.

Our baby LOVES our FJ. We drove it a lot while Jen was pregnant, so it's soothing to the baby. The TRD muffler helps

I've never had people complain about the back seat, but it's definitely not for long road trips.

I may be a redneck looking for any excuse to winch something, but I'm not THAT much of a redneck.
