Check Engine Code P0302, "#2 Misfire"
Just as a heads up, my 2000 Legacy GT is currently suffering from a #2 cylinder misfire, according to the P0302 error code. A dealer is trying to find the problem now, but it doesn't seem to be either possibility listed ( plugs and/or wires ).
If anyone has BTDT, I'd be interested to hear it. Neither dealer I've spoken to has seen this, certainly not at 26,000 miles. There are a few more details in this thread, if you are interested; http://i-club.com/forums/showthread....threadid=64903 I'll advise when a solution is found.

Missfire codes are more likely to be caused by manual transmission cars. It has to with acceleration sensors and crank position sensors.

I just posted in your other thread. That is very interesting, my 98gt is coding the same thing right now. I've been tossing the injector thing around. Let us know how it goes. since I've been getting this code, I've replaced: plugs (2 times), wires, coil pack, fuel filter, fuel lines @ filter (with high pressure lines), currently using a different ignitor. Any suggestions? Oh yeah, PCV valve, new gas cap and I don't remeber what else I've done to it.

The Legacy is a stick. I'm supposed to pick it up tonight, and if it is running properly, I'll assume the injector was the root cause and let you know.
Otherwise, I'll be complaining about another service department. |

As detailed in the other thread, the #2 injector was apparently the problem.
