Day 8.5:
A continuation of yesterdays work... I spent most of today re-organizing the parts i've taking off the car so far into boxes and labeling everything along with dismantling the bumpers and a couple other things. I also worked on the grill a bit including painting it and i've started working on that front logo too No pictures of that yet, but I'll post a picture soon... I went ahead and removed more bits off the front for preperation, including the headlights, corner lights, and lower bumper cover. As you can see, theres really nothing holding that stuff on, the bulk of the chassis is on the side in the front and there is really no lower support in the front! If I do decide to go with a single radiator, this setup makes it extremely easy to build a custom radiator support that will work just perfect for the car. It also makes it really easy to remove the engine when the time comes Anyhow, heres a couple of interesting pics: |

Looks good, but I got an idea;
Ok, but some meaty mud bogging wheels, add mudflaps. Paint everything black, including your rims. Tint your headlights (everything pitch black). Then get your saw and cut off the top of it and make it into a convertible with a sequential manual and a turbo hyabusa engine. Don't forget a rollcage too. Mmk. |

I left out a photo of the whole front end with the hood up, so here you guys go:
I can sell the wheels/tires, but I paid ~$300 installed for the tires, and $150 I think for the wheels and I probably can't get more than $300 for the set with tires so I'll definitely be loosing money, and still have to turn around and buy tires/wheels again... But, looking at how the wheels/tires fit now, i've started to look at other options... Narrower tires + wheels with a higher offset (current wheels are ~+20 offset with a 6" wide wheel, probably need a +35-40 offset, heres a photo for reference I actually tried that out, looks nice. Just didnt include it with that pic. |

Anyone else having trouble seeing it as anything other than a Datsun?
It just screams Datsun 510 |

Apparently it did win a couple rallys back in the day, although that was with the 1300G Sports model with the disc brakes, dual carbs, etc. |
