Default Socal v3 Boost Creep?

Hey guys! I have my SoCal v3 turbo waiting to install and was just wondering if the ported housings would have any affect on boost creep? I have a catless downpipe and was wondering if it would be an issue. Any experience with this? Sorry for the possibly stupid question, any help would be appreciated!

It can be an issue in the cold with a stock turbo. I don’t know what they focus on with the porting work but unless it is significantly enlarging the waste gate I’d bet it still will be an issue with the V3

They offer wastegate upgrade options, which you should 100% do.

TURBOSMART WGA, 7-psi $180 or 14PSI $200.

Now which one? Not sure, I'd talk to your tuner.

Catless set-ups in the cold can suffer boost creep in general.

Go EWG to manage creep completely.

I just took off my EWGs because they were too damn loud
Straight line pulls, I absolutely love them, winding down the backroads I absolutely hate them. I know I'll miss it but overall will be happier. If it still creeps Ill get a cat welded in.

I'm pretty excited for the insanely loud WOT pulls I'll be doing lol keeping stock cat-back for daily driving will keep sound to a min before she opens up... sure to shock unsuspecting passengers for sure.

Just got a response from Socal Porting themselves.

"Thank you for your patience. To answer your question about boost creep on the V3 upgrade the answer is No. It is not an issue because we port and polish the housing which helps eliminate boost creep."

If I experience otherwise I'll update this.

I have a socal v3 turbo. Now that it's getting colder I can let you know how it performs with boost creep. I'm catted tho, so there might be a big difference between us.

definite difference since the issues with boost creep tend to come from catless set ups.
