lol........ Thats all that comes to mind.

You have a wrx.......old or new its an STi, which all around is a BETTER car.

Better suspension.
Better performance
Better/Much stronger drivetrain
10000x Better brakes.
More potential

All around its a WAY better car. I dont get why anyone would say the 07's are bad. I own one myself and love it 110%. Ive heard stories with them running lean from the OTS maps and what not but myself has had no issues. Dont start to think all the 07s are like that, very limited cases.

Sorry your question just blows my mind, its like me saying....

I have a BMW 06' 325i, would an BMW 06' M3 be an upgrade or should I keep the 325i?

May want to think what you want it a car? Do you want a fuel saver or do you want a car that can handle and get out stock?

All the 07 "issues" are easily fixed especially if you are planning any serious mods- boost controller and tune for the 07 ecu and new bcs, tune for any worry of running lean, and any piston ringland issues u are concerned about are true for every sti so if u want to replace with cp or wiseco or what have u go for it but you have just as much of an issuee with your wrx not to mention the 07 has the vf43v with the bigger wastegate to eliminate boost creep- do you have any other concerns i could address? plus u get the sti 6spd which is way stronger ask anybody and like mentioned the brakes etc

the only real issue you cant easily remedy that seperates the 06/07 sti with others is the body styling (which i love) i hate the look of the 02-03 bugeye 02-05 1 piece grill IMO no offense because i love all subarus

OP: Be prepared to get a "Stage 1" or equivalent flash, ASAP. The factory tune is serious garbage.

Congrats!

Ha ha

Drive a WRX and quickly drive the Sti.
The difference is Beverly Hills to S. Central

If money isn't an issue. Go for it.
Buy a ACCESSPORT asap as people say the STOCK ecu isn't too good.

'07s have the best flowing heads, but the most sensitive ECUs of all the GDs. The source file is multiple times the size it is on my bugeye's ECU. Stock '07 STis have been known to ruin their own motors due to this, but I'd assume a great tune would ride you of much of this worry.
