show us your wrx gauge installs.
I'm looking for ideas on a inexpensive but clean gauge/pod install in a 02WRX. I'm considering going all out with the Defi 60mm gauge pod w/ an autometer, vdo or greddy gauge combo. I'm leaning more towards saving some money and going with the low cost single boost gauge solution mounted on the steering wheel. Help me decide and pictures and descriptions what you have hooked up in your ride.

Derres Catalano makes a nice aluminum mask that fits the stock pod. It takes 2 1/8 or 52mm gauges. He has a thread in the Private for sale forum. This is my setup with Defi 52mm blackface gauges.

NICE! I really like the two gauge pod. Could you post the specifics on the pod, source, price, and gauge size?

Mine are mounted with metal strapping and drywall screws driven into the stock clock housing. Still want a picture?

Mine is the lazy man's single version.
You can't see it that well but it's inside of the what used to be useless cupholder spot. |

If I had mine in the cupholder like that, I would probably end up off the road. Doesn't look within eye sight range. But if it works for you.

It's mostly there just for tuning. The stock car doesn't even have a guage. So where are you looking when you don't have one?? I'll move it when I get some real mods and actually have to look for boost creep problems.

Here's mine, again using Derres Catalano's 3 gauge mask in a modified factory housing.
Note the 3rd gauge is a semi-custom clock. I had Autometer make me a Z series clock with a Sport Comp bezel. Cheers. |

personally, i think bigger = better (easier to read). Good thing is that at that size, the gauge pod does not block my view at all. The pod from derres is carved out for 52mm gauges, so I had zero fitment issues.

I don't have any pictures but I have the autometer dual pillar which holds a autometer boost gauge and a autometer a/f gauge. Very nice and clean set up. I currently do not have any pics though.

6-in-3! Spa Technique dual digital gauges. Still haven't installed all the senders and need to find a place for the programming buttons (those are the wires you see coming out from under the pod). Used OEM pod with Derres' mask. Also, since I run a 4EAT, I've hooked up the "water temp" and the "fuel pressure" to the tranny.

if you take a look at michaelwrx's car, it is right hand drive, and if you look at his location, it says he lives in Australia. |
