There's no real secret just didn't think there was gunna be as many pms about it lol... will just say it.
Clean and degrease the plastic as best as you can, scrub off any dirt etc etc. Fill a bucket with straight bleach and submerge it in the bleach until your happy with whiteness achieved. Takes a while.

thanks mike! surprised to see a vendor chiming in here. i have some of your parts.... updates are coming as fast as i can do all of this on my own. its hard when your a one man team lol. not to mention this project is financially hurting me big time and hurting my relationship with my lady aswell. we will just have to see where it goes from here.
i need some coilovers. trying to work out a sponsor ship deal with anyone whos willing to check out my stuff and hear my story. cars definately going to be put to good use other then driving. 2 rs25 members really saved my ass BTW i really want to put a shout out to them because they replaced my headlight pieces for the cost of shipping. crash187 and chaz2.5. thanks guys. |

That is like paying with fire though. Bleach/chlorine and brake cleaner can be explosive. |

thanks!!!!! theres a reason you clean it out and rinse it all down before you put it into the bleech. so esentially its just going to be the plastic in there when your said and done man. its perfectly safe. ive done it multiple times. i noticed i forgot the water and rinse part so my bad on that. |

But.. ugh... changing spark plugs in the future looks like it's going to suck |

it wont be too shabby to do plugs. it doesnt like it but theres enough room to get in there. the bottom mounts will be individual leaving the spark plug stuff exposed. none the less its not the end of the world even if i have to take the blower off since all the stuffs easy access...

Nice progress!
Also have a question for you. Been wanting to repaint my alternator but was worried about painting the copper wires. Saw you have your wires painted too and wondered if that was gonna cause any issues. |

Its probably going to cause issues but I won't know for sure till I run the car....... my screws were all stripped out from old age and me trying to lossen them so I just painted it as is..... if I were you I would pick up a new alternator and take it apart and do it properly. I'm trying to avoid spending more money do I did what I had to..... if it gets hot its just engine paint it will flake off my best guess

Yeah haven't done it before but I don't think its going to hurt..... I wash my engine bays and use dressings on them all the time. So far I've never killed an alternator. We will see though I could be wrong.
