Default CEL error after installing Borla UEL headers?

So, I just had some borla headers and a 2.5RS catpipe on my 07 2.5i, and to do so, I needed to have the o2 sensor cables lengthened. I got the car back from having this done (I dont have the facilities to safely work under my car myself) and i'm getting low voltage warnings on both 02 sensors. The guy I bought the headers from had the exact same setup, 07 2.5i, RS catpipe, etc, yet he had no problems. Any ideas?

Has to be in the splices that were done. Check, re-do those and see what happens.

could it have anything to do with the added resistance of the lengthened wire?

I took it back to the guys who set it up and had them take a look at their wiring job. They had used shielded wires, and one strand of the shielding was contacting a current carrying wire and grounding it. they redid that connection and all is well.

This I information is too late for you but for the other folks considering this setup if you get a04-05 catpipe the O2 bungs are up and downstream of the front converter. If you follow the install guide provided on www.rallisportracing.com you can get away with not having to splice the front Sensor wire and possibly the rear one if you get enough slack.
