At least Toyota is having fun with the easter eggs and ultimate reveal. Just hope it's not over inflating the hype.

I guess I missed the part of the teasers from that one interior shot with "gr-four" on the sat nav, that the climate control implied 268hp. Probably for the best.

Everything made should be for the children. My mistake.

FTK bro... it's all FTK.

Honestly though, rear-facing car seats are why Toyota is bringing us the corolla instead of the yaris. I'd be very surprised if it didn't fit a car seat. Hell, you can put one in the back of a GR86 if you really want to.

I did front facing in my FR-S when my daughter was 2. It was snug. Rear facing would be really tough.

As long as it doesn't have center exhaust, all set

Dude it was a joke. Given circumstances this past weekend, society is just nuts. It should read there should be more driving purist offerings that are affordable in the marketplace. Not everything has to be a damn family truckster. I don't want all the things catered to the driving purist/enthusiast, not at all. But damn leave some offerings however. If you have owned larger, heavier vehicles, and also owned smaller, lighter vehicles, you know which ones handle better. Y'all just took all that and ran with it, and I mean Usain Bolt sprinted.

I'd take the GRY over the GRC all damn day. Some enthusiasts are gonna let you know about it when they see most of the offerings go mainstream, family truckster, what I call "square" offerings. Not in America though. Gotta mainstream every got damn thing there is. Has to be for squares. A WRC homologation 3 door hatch in the USA? Oh no we can't have that. It's not big enough to go to Disneyland! It's just ridiculous at this point.

Oh well, less than 24 hours before it is revealed. Beggars cannot be choosers and at least it's still a compact hatch. Best we are gonna get. My money has already been paid.

Default Toyota GR Corolla: Automatic Transmission Set For 2024 Release Date

A link was leaked, and apparently we are getting the diffs! The note said launch edition, but I can’t imagine they would treat them separately.

Toyota has delivered the next great Sport Compact Car. Totally exceeded my expectations as a CF roof is a nice touch in this segment. So glad I put money down on one of these last year as the wait will be worth it.

I ain’t gonna lie that looks very good. Just wish it was at least Golf R or WRX hatch size. But either way this car just puts Subaru to shame. 1.6l and 300 hp and the new WRX went to 2.4 and only gained 3 hp the “wtf” factor there is just something I can’t overlook. Sigh……

Anyway, would love to know more about pricing.

Yeah they're on a roll. 86 - I was like "oh that's nice that they will keep that going, good for them." It turns out so good I buy one. Expectations a little low for the GRC all things considered (America, Subaru taking a dump on us etc.) and boom, it's outta the park. Next up, 6MT Supra

Even at a little over $40k for the launch (my guess) I'd say that's a win.

Yeah, this solidifies Toyota as the most enthusiast-oriented carmaker at the moment. I never thought I'd see a pedestrian car with front and rear LSDs, that's like 1990s stuff.

I want the launch edition but would have to store it for 2-3 years, hopefully we can get a similar model down the line.

That's tough, but yeah there would be a "premium" trim to carry that torch thereafter.

I'm impressed! Toyota is delivering.

The initial indications show the Launch Edition will get the diffs and larger brakes. Hopefully there's still an up trim that includes these either the first model year or following model year.

But given that there's a non-diff version it's a WRX competitor so curious on pricing.

Based on what's leaked, this looks impressive! 300HP, mechanical differentials, basically as the STI leaves the market the GR Corolla comes in! But damn, this is going to be another Focus RS, Civic Type R, or Supra situation where the dealers just tear the market for the car to shreds with markups, isn't it?

Yes, sadly given all the Hype on forums, auto websites, reddit, this car will likely demand ADM. Per the leak a few weeks ago the NE is supposed to get 90 cars out of an estimated production run of 1000 cars this year. That is if Toyota does not run into supply chain issues. And NE dealers are cut-throat, so I'd expect 0 negotiations.
