Default Roof rail options for a MY97 Impreza L wagon?

When I originally purchased my MY97 Impreza L wagon back in 2001 it didn't come with the roof rails. What are my options if I'd like to install a rack that can handle both surf and snow boards? Do I have to find and install OEM Subaru rails first, then get a rack? Are there racks that will install directly into the channels along the sides of the roof?

Also, if I need to get OE rails, does anyone know what other years are compatable with the MY97 L wagon?

Thanks!

I have pulled off my factory rack when i got my 2000 Impreza sport wagon and i am now missing the weather strip that runs up the car because there is no strip under the factory rack. I now use a thule rack and i love it. you can get a thule rack for the factory rack or with out factory rack. If you think that my factroy rack would help you out let me know i can sell it cheap its just siting
