Welcome to Houston, there's a reason we're all fat, we're too lazy to walk the 50 feet from a parking spot in a parking garage to an elevator so we can sit in a seat for 2 hours sucking on 32oz of carbonated high fructose corn syrup.

There's a Thursday night meet that's been ongoing for at least 10 years uninterrupted (if you want to go to a car meet where we drink beer, eat food, and talk about everything accept for our own cars), and various other meets around town on different nights.

You're in a good central area, there's a shawarma place right down the street from you called Skewers, pretty good. There's a sushi place called Oishi that's just as close that's pretty good as well. Oh, and Ragin Cajun just west down Richmond.

Wow, this was more informative than I might have thought it would turn out.

I'll make a meet for sure. Sadly, my Impreza is at home in Shreveport right now until I get some people to ride down here with me... Maybe soon though actually.
When is the meet at BWW? That's literally right next door to me at 33ThirtyThree

I need to find the local SCCA as well.

Meets every saturday night at that BWW/Costco. Look for the "Central Houston Meets" thread here in TXIC, or PM me your link on Facebook and i'll add you to the group on FB where we do most of our coordination.

Oh nice that's just down the road. Great location, though traffic around the movie theatre sucks.

Product Line Manager for Remote Monitoring in Natural Gas Compression

In layman's terms, I make hardware talk over the internet and when it doesn't I hit it with a hammer.

While also trying to organize the company's network... and take service calls... and install new service... and have client meetings... I have been at work for 2 days and I have already learned SQL and RMDB and UAT from scratch... help me... I think I have brain cancer.

EMS is a joke compared to this... Imagine... 4 EMS hooked up to a central controller that is THEN hooked up to a hub via 485 which has BT,wirless, simcard, and satellite... plugging in a sensor and giving it a name and performing gain compensation for noise cancelling on that sensor doesn't even come into the small picture...
