2015 Fully Built BC 2.7l Stroker 1000BHP DD
For those that are and have EVER thought of stroking an EJ257 block for a substantial amount of torque and horsepower, this is the thread to be in.
I have been building my project sti for years and have read and understood a lot about subaru engines and their drivelines. I currently own a 2004 Sti with 40k miles clean with Custom Race/Street roll cage. She's built for DD and anything else that makes driving her fun. Decided to build a Stroker and of course add sequential dogbox system with gears for my desired rev limiter which would be 7k to 8000 rpms. No more... I have a new block with new Darton sleeves and o-ringed installed and put together by a well known and Darton Authorized shop for the sleeve installation. Brads Performance is my Guy when it comes to building reliable yet successful race engines with over 30 years of head porting and flowing experience. TURBO: PTE 6766 WITH T4 .96 or train scroll 1.00 REAR Heads are currently being ported and polished for the much anticipated flow bench day! Pretty Stoked to see the cfm numbers of my heads! My bottom end is built already. DARTON SLEEVES (Cryo'D) and (O-ringed) BC 2.7 liter stroker K1 crank 83mm 102mm bore Cp piston HD pin Carrillo H beam rods with CARR bolts ACL race bearings 100% 625+CA Headstuds P and l 11mm high flow pump KillerB Oil pan and KillerB Holy Headers! HEADS: Full Ferrea Valvetrain Full Port and Polish GSC S2 single avcs cams or night sell brand new in box that way I can get the S3s!!! What you guys think? I want this to be the new thread for High HP stroker Engines [IMG] [/img] [Img] [/img]

Don't you have to machine the sleeves to accept the o-ring before installing them? Decide to go with regular head gaskets?

I'll be watching this closely... I want to end up going 2.65 with 8K Rev limit, paired with a nice responsive turbo with broad torque band. Somewhere in the 550whp range when complete.
Keep us updated and best of luck. Peace -TurboTod P.S. If you're looking at a 7-8K rev limit, why throw a cam in it that will of course shift your power band to the right? Stay with the S2's, they are the sweet spot when paired with good head work. |

I have been torn between the stroke or de-stroke on my next build. I will admit I am an rpm whore (seeing its the greatest multiplier in the whp/torque game) so have leaned towards de-stroke. But if I can see a stroker run 8k happily over time I'll go that route given the info I have seen. |

So does anyone have a dyno chart from their stroker build? With the options out there what kit or piece together build did you use or make?
