Default No bueno!! Subaru Specialties (Scott Dana Boyd)

Already posted in the Vendor Reviews section however I thought it would be ideal to place this thread in the appropriate region this generally affects since another member was asking about this particular "business".

I've seen your posts everywhere now. Sorry to hear about what happened. If he was really trying to make things right and cared about his company/ reputation, we wouldn't be seeing all of your posts.

Also, his partner getting "locked up" throws red flags by itself.

Thanks for trying to keep others from having problems with this man.

Thank you for the support and I'm terribly sorry if it looks like I'm spamming my complaint everywhere. I put CL ads up in the same states he has his as a preventative measure for others.

I didn't want to clog up the forums in this manner however he insists on renewing his ads and someone here was asking about the business not too long ago.

Again, my apologies if this is getting spammy.

Not spammy in my opinion. You're trying to help man. I hope it gets resolved through the courts if that's how it's going.

Update:

Claims hearing was today. Give you one guess who didn't show. So, Default Finding entered.

The court has acknowledged my cash losses and I have 10 business days to submit evidence of the damage done to my car while in Scott's care. The court will then decide the appropriate amount I am to be compensated.

Up next? Payment schedule hearing.

Curious how the conversation went. I'm guessing he did a whole bunch of talking.....all things that will never happen.

Also, to date, there has been zero attempt on his part to sort this out.

i didn't let on that i knew cars fairly well, so he explained a lot fo the basics of new motors, how to break them in - all that jazz.

after seeing your post i ended up going with a long block from boxer motor works up in Bolton VT. Very happy with it so far.

Link updated with the following words:

If you are reading this and have a small claims case against Scott, consider appealing the bankruptcy claim.

In my mind the court needs to hear that he's "bankrupt" from ripping people off and nothing more.

Round 2 of bankruptcy filing. Round 2 of court dismissal.

Back to small claims in a few weeks!

If you have been negatively affected by a business dealing with Mr Boyd, contact Littleton PD. They want to hear from you.

FYI on the New England Street Riders forum, several other victims have reported he is still in business and still ripping people off.

The courts have not allowed him to file bankruptcy so he is still fair game for damages.

Yeah, he won't be attempting to claim bankruptcy any time soon.

Ayer District Court has sent me a new date for payment hearing. Will be interesting to see how this goes...
