![]() the kit itself is $3500 from them, i don't think it included engine management.

![]() yea thats the turbo people i heard of. did they say anything about an estimate on how much it would be? for you and for regular customers that don't know them? lol. someone told me we can do the turbo and get everything in the engine bay ready for a turbo, but we wouldn't get as much psi as would like the wrx or sti?... Or would we be able to swap any turbo in as well?...

![]() supposedly our engines are the same as the new sti's and wrx BUT! no forged pistons. So that would definately be an upgrade that you'd wanna look into...as far as everything else goes i am not completely sure yet. haven't done a lot of research on boosting this ride cuz it's not in my plans yet

![]() i would think if u tuned right after just an intake it would be a waste, cuz u would need one after exhuast too. and if u wanna get headers along with intake and exhaust?... lol. be a lot of tuning don't u think?

![]() well...as in one of the threads that i've read before hand, swapping your header or just your exhaust should not harm how your car will run much. It should still be safe to run without any tuning. Slapping on an intake would increase air flow into your engine by 20% leaning out your fuel mixture to a fairly dangerous level.

![]() I dont think Its really THAT bad an idea. I mean the money yea, might as well get a wrx and upgrade that... Buut, Its heavier more expensive in the beginning and not as good mpgs. and insurance.
i dunno. its jus what people want tho. Fixing up the impreza wont be as fast as a fixed up WRX. But it'll be pretty danm fast. Its like why do people fix up hondas?. lol. I think its maybe, u do what u can afford. u know?. |

![]() My plan is in 5 years once I'm out of warranty to swap in an sti block and here's my thinking here. I'm gonna have the car paid off 3/5 years of the warranty so I'll keep paying my payments for the 2 years after before the warranty is over but instead of them being sent to subaru they will be kept in savings. I'll have aprox 8-10k saved up which I'm sure I can get an sti swap for that and if not I'll wait a few more months till I can afford it fully all at once. I'll swap it in and then have a lighter sti that looks like an N/A impreza and if I recall still has the insurance payments of the 2.5i (not sure on that one) and then I can mod to my liking and have a very nice sleeper as I'm keeping the outside mostly stock and going with a hidden FMIC rather than having to buy a hood which would make it look like a WRX. It'll be debadged and I'm sure I'll have some fun with some civics/tiburons thinking they can take me in it.
That's just how I'm gonna go about it. |

![]() Decisions decisions. I absolutely love my car. I have a '09 impreza outback sport that needs a clutch master cylinder and slave, flywheel and clutch. The engine has a slight leak but nothing to be addressed right now. I would love to have a little more power but not necessary. Would anybody suggest a swap other than OEM engine. at this point I can spend a little bit on the repair because all in all it would be cheaper than buying a new car. Any suggestions I'm open. Come with the ideas fellas( and gals)

![]() It would be cheaper to buy a turbo model and more reliable than trying to swap one into your 09. Too many differences from NA to turbo since MY06
