Weight Reduction

I'm curious if anyone has a lighter GM6. Mine last weighed in at 2012 lbs. It's an autoX only car with everything that can be thought of removed. Not a street car, not practical for DD in any situation, not even practical for track days or road racing. It last had an EJ205, currently building a 2.1L EJ for it with 9.5:1 compression. Should be fun when I get the $$$ to put it back on the course.

Yoooooo that's pretty light! I don't think I'll get there as I intend to keep mine streetable, although my definition of streetable differs from that of most others. I've removed much of the interior, a/c, abs, plenty of unnecessary wires, got crank windows and a CF hood... Still have the dash and heater, wipers, and a huge wing.

Do you have a stock fuel tank?

Did you want weights on the gutted doors?

I would love to see them. I am debating on gutting these doors or going with a composite door. But if gutted doors are close enough, I will just stick with that route.

It wont be close, I have held both a carbon door and gutted, its significant. But I am more than happy to pull a side off and weigh them once I get a chance. Might be a week or two. (Just had a baby and building a house). Hope that will be helpful.
