Hi folks,

In the process of running -8 AN feed and -6 AN return lines from the engine bay to the tank. I've got a Radium double pump hanger in place already, and am going to add some ORB -> AN fittings into the hanger.

My question is, what are other folks doing about the existing rubber/hard lines that go from the tank -> engine bay?

Specifically, the feed and return lines.

Trying to figure out if I should just cut the rubber lines in the tank to make room for fittings and just route the SS lines around them, or if I should try removing them from the car altogether.

My plan is to route the lines strategically under the car and make sure they're covered up.

Not so much something ive done per say...but...typically the fuel lines are still run inside the car to the firewall and into the engine bay. The hardlines are removed. There isnt really a spot under the car to protect the fuel lines from road debris. Unless youre going to run the lines down the tunnel, which is slightly risky in the unlikely hood of the driveshaft failing.

Just to leave a little update here.

I managed to get the old lines out, at least partially. The lines go from the top of the fuel pump hanger, across the top of the tank and then up into the cabin (under the driver side of the rear seat. After that, they go up the driver side, behind the insulation and though another gromet which is at the firewall.

Wow, that was a major pain to get out.

I ended up cutting the lines into a few separate sections. The hardest part was finessing the ends of the lines through the grommet/firewall and out.

For anyone else looking, if your fuel pump hanger is behind the rear seat, you CANNOT route the new lines across the top of the tank. The old lines are stuck there (mounted to the top of the fuel tank).

My plan is to use a 45* AN fitting on the feed/return @ the hanger, come up into the trunk and then back down through the cross-over cover on the driver side of the trunk.

From there, you can route the hoses under the car, under the plastic skid plate and up to the front of the car.

Still working on it currently, but thought this would be useful for anyone else trying to replace the stock lines

Mount the lines outside the body panel on the sides when you install the Back to the Future mods to the body. Makes it much easier!

I'm going to run the factory supply as my return, and -8 up to the engine bay.

Just a thought.
