![]() I am going to a SD tune and need to have a bung welded on my TMIC.
How do they drill the hole without getting the aluminum in the IC? Would hate to leave a piece and it end up in my engine.. Has anyone done this?

![]() At one point I was going to install water meth injection on my STI but decided to go flex fuel instead. I had already purchased a Snow Performance injection plate that sandwiches between the throttle body and manifold. It has two 1/8" NPT ports, maybe your IAT sensor would fit if you purchased the plate?

![]() You'll need this IAT sensor:

But the IAT is 3/8 NPT. Can I just cut the male connector on the SD kit and put the AEM connector on and plug in? Last edited by savagesoob; 01-18-2021 at 11:34 PM. |

![]() I would want to do some comparative feedback first. Your charge air temps are going to be different from I/C end tank-to-intake runner. Whether that's 10° and inconsequential, or 50° is anybody's guess. Tuners know what works with end tank temps, but I don't believe anyone has gone in this direction. Without proper testing, you're taking on that risk.

My mechanic with 15 yrs exp. working in Subarus told he would weld it on the IC. I thought the spacer would be a better place since its right on the throttle body. However, with the spacer it will be near impossible to get the coupler on bc the extra 3/4" protrusion. Plus need an extension for the MAP sensor. ![]() |
