Lucky! I've missed two weekends on the shore so far (OC Cruisin week and Memorial Day weekend in Bethany Bay) and last year was the first time in a while I haven't gone up to OC NJ.

it feels like the pandemic has done something ridiculous to beer distro - in the last two months I've been able to get Heady Topper and Focal Banger as well as offerings from Masthead, Illuminated, Equilibrium, Other Half, Jackie O's, and Bearded Iris here in Portland.

Yeah, the majority of those breweries rely on a large portion for on-premise draft consumption and folks buying cans to take home from the brewery themselves. Distro for them all is pretty limited, so pivoting to wider distro in proven markets makes sense for a short burst in sales as things hopefully start to "normalize." I know Veil in Richmond is going to some limited deliveries but has already said it will be for the super short term.

(Limited) outdoor dining starts in a few weeks down there, but I think we will stick to take out for this summer.

Found a lone 6 pack of this stuff, finally. It's exactly what I thought it would be. Taste like concentrated two hearted. Still balanced, still delicious, just more intense and a big ole kick in the liver at 11.0% abv.

Very strong (slightly "tart") lemon flavor, reminds me of summer Shandy with a hint of "berry". Little to sweet imo.

I couldn't not buy this. Also, luckily if it started to go flat, I can use the Pico CO2 valve to add more gas.

Milk Stout
6 pk. of bottles
6.0% abv.
A little sweet, and a little bitter on the after note but very smooth and one of the better cheap milk stouts I've tried.

Got a six pack, very enjoyable but very dangerous! The bitterness of a West Coast IPA with a touch of sweetness from that honey. Something great to look forward to every year.

Hokkaido Brewing
Happoshu Fruit beer/Cherry and Berry Ale
Single 10oz. Bottle
5% abv.
Really, really tasty. The smallest bit too fruity but the ale definitely shows through in the flavor. Wouldn't drink more then 1 in a sitting.

From a new local brewery that opened last year. This is fantastic! 9% ABV.

"A Viking-inspired ale incorporating rye, smoked, honey and Munich malts with juniper and anise. Fermented with Norwegian Kveik."
