![]() So my STi has been built for a little over a year now and has been awesome! Currently sitting at 450whp with id1050’s and aem 340lph pump. Here is a list of my current build before I get into my questions so everyone knows and isn’t wondering.
2012 STi -outfront v4 closed deck -Manley platinum forged pistons -Manley I beam turbo tuff rods -new sti crank -acl main and rod bearings -arp 1/2 inch head studs -kelford 272 cams -super tech valvetrain -killerb pick up -killerb pan and baffle -iag tgv deletes -iag v2 fuel rails -turboxs rotated turbo kit with Garrett gtx3582 -invidia q300 catback -act xtreme clutch kit -iag aos -turboxs fmic Pretty sure that’s about it. I’m sure I’m missing some small things. The car was built by Andrewtech. I have been talking with them for plans for make 600+ whp and have started compiling parts. I have been in touch with Andrewtech about my plans and they are saying 650-700whp on e85. But a couple questions came to mind this weekend that I can’t get out of my head and figured I’d ask here to get peoples input. I do plan on calling ata this week to get confirmation. But like seeing others opinions as well. So as of now this is what we have came up with to finish up my build and get the power I want. -killerb holy header -id1700 -radium dual pump hanger with dual 450 pumps -Cobb flex fuel sensor -Id f750 fuel filter -Cobb 4 bar map sensor -aeromotive a1000 FPR Now what I’ve been thinking about the last day or so is adding a dampening crank pulley like the ATI or fuidampr. Is this needed for a 650(ish)whp build? Also I am still running stock engine mounts. I’m looking at the torque solutions mounts thinking that I better upgrade those while I’m there as well. I’m not opposed to running solid mounts if needed. What would you guys suggest? Something the like torque solutions polyurethane mounts, or solid, and why? Thanks for the input!

![]() Building a closed deck myself by TiC for 500whp and was told to use a brand new oem pully or aftermarket like fuidampr. Not sure about solid or not for eng mounts myself yet but deff anything over stock.
How did the turboxs rotated kit fit? Last edited by BlackFighter; 01-18-2021 at 10:25 AM. |

![]() Built engine or stock, something like Fluidampr or an ATI crank pulley are good options. Been using Fluidampr for several years now and I noticed a difference in how smooth the engine felt. Had a GS lightweight pulley before that and won't go back to any of the lightweight pulleys again.

![]() As others have said, a dampener is a great idea on a build like this.
Our header will broaden the power curve and add ultimate power as well. It will wake things up for sure. Double check the fueling for the ID1700s, we ran 2000s at that power level. With good supporting mods you should definitely be +650whp on E. As an option to the dual pump hanger, check out Visconti's fuel pump setups. I've used them a couple of times now and I don't think I'll go with a dual pump setup again, just because this setup is pretty easy and seems to be rock steady reliable. I like the urethane motor mounts. More tolerable on long drives IMO. Other parts look good too! |

![]() If you are looking into engine mounts I highly recommend the Perrin mounts, the use a bolt rather than a stud so you can drop the engine onto the cradle and just slide it back into the trans. I pull my engine alone and not messing with the trans hight helps a LOT with making it quick and simple.

![]() Here is another question for you guys. Ive been wanting the killer b holy header since it came out and has been a part of my build plan forever. However, Ive read a few threads and things on the internet about ETSs v2 manifold actually making more power. What is everyones thoughts on the new ets vs killer b?
In my head Im leaning hard killer b. The holy header has been proven time and time again. Not to mention killer b uses 321 stainless compared to ets using 304. Thoughts? |

I have helped test a few products and when it involves a dyno the amount of effort to have the same temp, humidity, header temp, ect was a LOT of work and I don't see many people show that they go to those lengths in customer reviews. Just something to keep in mind. |

![]() Stock VA basket. never had an issue and surprisingly quiet.
If course I'm biased, but you won't be disappointed ![]() If you have questions, let me know, I'm the guy who designed them. |

![]() If asked what one to give me as a gift KB all day, its got more track time and that shows structural integrity. I don't run either header (neither is going to add enough to what I have to make a significant change), I just know most people don't realize your car makes different whp nearly every pull (some more then others). With the same tune and PARTS my car has shown to make passes between 118-123 mph (92 tune) mostly on weather. It has never made the same pull twice in a row on a dyno with no change without keeping everything the same (I mean actually the same. Not one pull then another right after). I live in Oregon so I do see a 55* to 100* swing on ambient temps when at the track throughout the year. But the point is that without a LOT of data a comparison is useless. |

![]() don't get that garbage regulator go with Fore, if you going to daily on pump gas the injectors are too big, also get radium dual brushless pump kit much more efficient pumps and wont heat up your fuel, and for the cam make sure you delete your AVCS because if AVCS freaks out a bit "and it will" you going to bend your valves, so right there deleting AVCS you will loose about 60-80 trq down low.

Why would you think that aeromotive is garbage? Any issues you had with them? Aeromotive have been used on Subarus for years with no major issues as of what I know. |

![]() I’ve been running an aeromotive FPR for 140,000 miles. I’ve been daily driving the car with 2000cc injectors for 140,000 miles without any problems. Disable dual AVCS? I love the low end torque it’s given me for 165,000 miles

![]() Agreed, no real reason to over complicate things. Aeromotive fpr and ID2k's here. No complaints. Running a Walbro 535 AND AVCS?? I must be doing everything wrong, but at least my valves are straight for now.

![]() I havent heard anything bad about the aeromotive FPR. Its what my tuner recommends. And at the end of the day he is the one tuning and knows what works. So Im comfortable with it.

![]() I have decided to stick with the your holy header. Love killerb stuff. Already running your pick up, baffle, and pan combo on my built motor.
