![]() Why? 16EvoIII is a better turbo. You don't want a vf22... really. There's a reason nobody sells them anymore, it's because there are turbos that are the same or better in every way available for cheaper than the vf22 when it was around.

![]() i will say one thing: my vf23 has been a VERY solid turbo. i've been waiting for this thing to die since 2005. it just will not quit. 26psi this morning getting on the highway.
![]() i credit the roller/ball bearing chra, and the fact that it lacks the "grenading" vf22 compressor wheel. here's to another 5 years of hard labor! |

![]() i took my car out for a casual drive and my buddy asked what my turbo was pushing i told him i didn't know never really looked at the boost gauge so i decided to do it and i was at about 5000rpm and the boost gauge read 1 bar i guess not too sure but i've been arguing with him about getting a bigger turbo like the 05 that i herd were in some hatch backs or wagons but i don't see that 05 on there got anything to add for me?

![]() question ; can anyone tell me a stock 02 wrx at what rpm (assuming 3rd gear) would hit FULL boost? I can assume it building boost around 2900 but what about full, 3500 or so?
we should have a 'post your spool times' video thread #justsayin |

![]() Sorry to bring back a dead thread, but it's in the FAQ, so it should thus be updated with current information?
I've got a Blouch 16g-XT and I'm dismayed that it only made 256whp on 91. I'm currently on the east coast running 93 and an unverified "about 20 more hp" according to my CA tuner. Unfortunately, peak torque occurs at 4400 rpm. Worse yet, this seems to be strangely common--a 16g making low power and spooling slow. Looking forward to finding this isn't the case. |

![]() My 16gxt on crappy 91 octane makes about the same (258 whp).
im not overly impressed with the characteristics of this turbo. I know im working with a low compression, small displacement engine but I really im not a high rev all the time kind of driver. as for picking up power on 93 octane. I bet with a retune for 93 you could pick up more than 20hp. I dont want to go back to the td04 as the max power (on 91 octane) is pretty low but I would like 17 psi by around 3200 rpms not 3700. Ive considered a vf34 but Im still not sold on one. |

![]() Very useful chart considering I barely knew the specs for each turbo and can't remember each one even if I read it.
