You named your daughter that? You DO know that is a boy's name, right? It would be the japanese equivalent of naming your daughter John... lol.

Heres a cool site someone from the nissan forums a mod for with a **** load of anime available.
http://www.onlygoodanimes.com/
The owner of that site owns a subaru; just a random fun fact...

Great Teacher Onizuka and Hajime No Ippo are pretty damn good animes!

Champloo is ****ing rad! One of my all time favorites. You get both ends of the spectrum with Mugen (crazy & reckless) and Jin (gentlemanly and adapt his craft). Almost every episode is great with the exception of a few strange ones (the shroom and baseball episodes!??! WTF). Its got a cool soundtrack too.

BTW Welcome to OT!!

I raved about this movie in another thread. Totally a must-see. Fantastic fight scenes.

Then you need to see [live action] Lone Wolf and Cub series. *Or at least Samurai Shogun*

Watch it and you'll see the similarities between the two.

Great stuff.

Full Metal Panic, particularly Fumoffu & OVA.

I would also include:

Gurren Lagann - If you're a fan of comedy & super robots.

Ex Driver - If you're a fan of motorsports.

Cyber City Oedo 808 - If you enjoy Blade Runner and the atmosphere of cyber punk.

Area 88 & Yukikaze - If you're a fan of aerial combat.

Ninja Scroll - If you're a fan of anything ninja.

Shij***333; Saiky***333; no Deshi Ken'ichi? - If you're a fan of the underdog, seeing some loser wimp gown into a formidable fighter and stands up for himself and loved ones.

AMAZING! It's comprable to Cowboy bebop, but instead of Jazz and Space it's Samurai and HipHop. One of my favorite series of all time.

If you like Ninja Scroll, check out Basilisk. Similar, but it's a whole series.

I have Gurren Lagann, but have yet to sit down and watch it.

I'm gonna also recommend this one. It is great. Semi historical plus hip-hop soundtrack. Quirky and interesting. If you like Bebop you will probably like it.

Eureka is another good one.
Capeta will make you want to go carting.
Bleach
Naruto
Beck
Initial D
Wangan Midnight is subbed up to like ep 19 now.
Kurozuka is interesting but I forgot to get eps after like 10 some I'm not completely caught up.
Over Drive is kinda neat. Sports related will make you want to take up road biking.
Witch Hunter Robin is good but I haven't finished it yet.

I don't get the obsessions with Bleach and Naruto. I tried to watch them but it was just so damn stupid.

I'm going through all the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episodes right now. About 3 from being done.

I enjoyed Gundam Wing, but the rest of the Gundams didn't strike me.
Elfen Lied
Evangelion
Cowboy Bebop
Last Exile
Wolf's Rain

Tons of movies. Can't really count them all.

It's all about what you like. I don't like harem comedies so I just don't watch them. Bleach and Naruto and Dragon Ball Z are all in a similar vein. Its about watching one person that wants to be come the best/strongest at what they do and epic fight scenes. The filler stuff is annoying though.

Damn, I knew I should have just bought the damn thing. I had it in my hands and was pondering the back cover when, and I swear to God, Jimmy Carter showed up and we had to leave before they closed the parking garage.
