My wife drove me, but I don't recall being so impaired I couldn't have driven home.

I drove myself to and from. And back then I was still driving a manual transmission. Easy peasy.

At my appointment they needed someone to discharge me, even though it was unnecessary. I would ask the dr's office what the discharge procedures are.

I'm pretty sure they didn't "allow" me to drive myself home. They made sure somebody was there to pick me up before letting me go.

Maybe in the time of covid things will be different as they want as few extra people around as possible.

That may have been the case for me as well.

They came back and said it should be fine to drive myself. Now I just have to book it in!

Yeah I drove myself to and from the appointment in my WRX 30+ minutes away. No issues at all so I wouldn't sweat it.

i would have mine done yesterday except because of sched. issues and insurance issues I had to have it switched to 3/18...

i talked to the place and one person said the consult and procedure had to be done withing 30 days and another said they had to be at least 30 days apart. so i have a couple months to go but my wife just had an IUD put in wed......we used one of those for several years with no problems.

side note i might get busy tonight. wish me luck
