Anyone run anything to keep the cam on after being parked? I have a lukas lk-290 that will keep it drawing from the battery until the voltage hits 12.4 (and you can adjust voltage cutoff a bit, or set it to a timer countdown) then cut it off until you start the car.

Think it'll be useful for parking lots and such, haven't installed it yet. The only concern is the power draw and battery being drawn down to whatever you set it to over and over, not sure it would have any real affect on battery health though.

Quite literally my shakedown run this afternoon to check alignment vertically and such (needed to move down and also set time/date, etc) after finishing the hardwire install last night. Side note; these are the dumb neighbor kids my kid isn't allowed to associate with anymore. Max speed on my part was 18mph in a 25mph zone....

Rexing V1, by the way

Had you not been able to see the kids running towards the road beforehand, that would have been much closer...goddamn kids (parents).

And, there's no point talking to the parents about it...they'll just shrug their shoulders and say "kids will be kids". Its borderline child neglect.

And if you had a louder exhaust, they'd been able to hear you coming, but yelled at by the parents for having a louder exhaust. Maybe bikes have the right idea.

Before you edited this I was going to mention that the bicyclist is clearly a dum dum, but you were also going almost 70mph in a...40? 45?

edit: I Google Map'd it. You was going almost 70 mph in a 30 mph zone. Genius.

Here's a couple of mine.
Road rager in a Del Sol merges onto the freeway, cuts all the way over to the left, then spins out.

Dumb bitch in a BMW pulls out in front of me.
(The music is Brian Eno.)

Did you enable the extra special 10 fps option before recording that one?

Wish I had one of these. I was hit on the way from work about 2 weeks ago. Two guys jumped out of the car and ran away. I think this would have been perfect evidence of the accident and might be able to identify them.

Don't blame her, the convertible top creates a huge blind spot when it's up. There's simply no way to avoid smashing into people.

I would sue BMW if I were her.

While not an excuse, this is certainly true.

Driving my Miata with the top up is an exercise in death defiance with every lane change.

You CAN do it right: you can lean over enough to clear your blind spot. But it's more than the average driver is going to manage.

Only convertible I've ever been in is a Cabrio. I find those little spherical convex mirrors that stick onto your side mirrors help a bit. I mean, you can't see the whole world, but I think they do a lot to mitigate the blind spot.

Do any of you guys have a rear facing cam as well? I've seen a few videos where it was definitely useful to have the rear cam. I can't really justify the cost at the moment but I probably will at some point.
