No, hell Majors was more of a presence up until they hired doughnut man as AD. Phil was persona non grata with the biggest booster family we have, they were the ones who orchestrated his first firing and the reason he came back was to wreck their influence. Much is said about Texas or USC boosters but our boosters are the dumbest rich guys in the history of money. I dunno if they lucked into their fortunes, but they sure as hell don't know the first thing about how a football program should be run.
