Default 2005 Baja Turbo 5MT final drive question

So, I've been goggling this for the past 20 minutes. I've looked at the SPDA chart. I've looked at numerous websites that have 'technical data'.

And I. Am. Confused.

SPDA doesn't even have the 2005 Baja Turbo, just the 2004 (forget the other 3 years it was available), and it lists a 4.1 final drive.

Every website I've checked has listed either: 3.9:1, 4.1:1, 4.11:1, or 4.44:1 for the final drive. Some of them have listed the 4EAT specs, but shown '5MT', while others... Don't even say what they're showing.

So, what is the actual final drive for the 2004 Baja turbo?

I was an idiot and dumped the clutch in first gear, and now it's possible that I blew up the rear end. I haven't had a chance to actually look at it yet, but it doesn't look (or sound) good. It moves under it's own power, but just barely, with lots of revving and metal hitting metal sounds. I crawled under it waiting for the tow truck, and I don't seen an obviously broken axle... I've got to get some time off from work this weekend to jack it up and start poking and prodding to see what the damage is.

There is no difference in 04 and 05 Bajas. 4.11 should be the final drive. It is often shown as 4.1 or even 4.111, so don't get concerned if you see one to three 1s at the end!

https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2931575 may help with rear diff codes if you need it.

Thank you kindly.

I'm not sure if it's an axle, diff, driveshaft, or clutch that blew up... I'm hopeful it's an axle. If it's the front diff, I'm not going to be very happy. >_>

I'd expect 2005 axle and/or driveshaft issues. Clutches just wear over time and aren't sudden. No diff issues unless freak issue. My check vote:

1. Axle
2. Driveshaft
3. Clutch

Both front axles are new, driveshaft is also brand new.

My order is...

1. Clutch
2. Rear axle
3. Driveshaft

Both front axles had blown boots, hence replacement. Driveshaft was vibratey, hence replacement.

Well, you get the million dollars. Front right axle snapped, inner joint is dead and floppy.

Maybe I'll get lucky and the dealer that put that axle in less than a year ago will help me out on parts or something.
