Ticking HVAC Servo 2004 WRX - But which one?

Hey guys.

Issue is with my kid's 2004 WRX wagon. He's getting a ticking noise that is coming from under the dash, to the passenger side of the center console immediately after activating the A/C button. We had in the garage on an unrelated issue over the weekend, and we could make this tick show up every time we pushed that button to the "ON" position.

Looking online at youtube, it seems like there are 3 HVAC related servos right there where that noise seems to be coming from, but the only way to get to them is disassemble several panels, remove the glove box, etc.

I'm not opposed to that, but like I told him, "Once we get in there, the only way to fix it will be to have the right replacement part." and looking online, it seems that none of the 3 parts I've narrowed it down to are even available anymore...so that means going online and getting a good used one.

Point is...if one of you Subaru-Brainiacs knows which actuator (or servo) would only make a noise when the a/c is switched from off to on, then it would help me hugely if you'd clue me in. I'd be able to get the part, disassemble, replace and assemble in one afternoon...rather than have to do it twice...once for diagnosis and once for repair.

This is his only ride...so leaving it apart while I find and get a replacement part shipped is a no go.

So you're sure it isn't just a leaf or small twig lodged in the blower, as discussed Here?
