Well, still no outlet for the welder, so I'm trying to keep busy.

I picked up an 07 STi shell from a buddy that parted it most of the way.

I'll be using the quarters and rear door skins to build my own "wide body" of sorts. Nothing available that appeals to me.....that I can afford at least haha

ROBBED

Annnnd starting to test fit:

I think they'll have to come out 40-50mm or so to get the wheels to look like they belong, as if being 11 inches wide wasn't enough, they're negative offset too

I've never done anything like this, but I think that's what makes it fun....just going with it and testing my capabilities.

That is the most AWESOMELY novel approach to a wide body I think I've ever seen! Keep up the great work!

11" wheels + 2JZ-GTE + 245's? But they said it couldn't be done

Really though I've had 245's on my 7.5" wide wheels... you should go wide for all the power you're gonna be making (315's? just putting it out there). Great build and love the CCW's

Thanks guys!

As far as the tires go, these will basically be my daily/cruise around wheels, so I'm not too concerned with how much grip I get. Plus I'll only be making around 430rwhp so it shouldn't be TOO nutty.....maybe..

The car will be tracked regularly. For that I'll probably snag up a few pairs of 17x9.5 or 17x10s and put a better fitting tire on, and take most if not all of the negative camber out.

Confession time. A.D.D. kicks my ass when I work on cars.

Since I'm still looking for some 35 series tires to put on the rears, I put the quarters on hold. I picked up a pair of fenders from Mr. Kelly and started hacking them up..

This is a super-amazing build. Great job so far.

I can't believe we've got this far in the thread without this image coming up:
