Interesting. My rear driver's side has been rubbing on the inside a bit. Maybe there's more clearance as the car goes lower...

I hope the wheels fit. http://i.imgur.com/NCk1Kf6.jpg I'm just not so sure that bigger tires will fit. My front fenders a rolled with a mild pull and the rears have a slight roll to them. I could work on the fenders some more, but the paint is already having a hard time.

Anyhow, thank you for the insight. Your car is looking pretty good.

Have you checked where it is rubbing? The rear tucks in more as you go lower. The tire travels up an in.

I can try a snap a pic of the rear clearance later today

Here is the rear tire inner clearance. as you can see there is still plenty of room back there. the closest is the body/inner fender that come out around the spring/tophat mount.

I find it hard to believe that is where you would be rubbing unless running super aggressive camber with adjustable lower control arms.

Rear:

Front:

this is the straight on angle, any other angle it looks like they are touching. 2 business cards together will pinch between the tire and spring BUT no rubbing!

I'm one "stock" suspension. I haven't crawled up there and looked at it under load, but I noticed that there are some light scratches in the plastic above the tophat. It looks like you removed the plastic?

I'm not on Coilovers though and I seem to have more space in the front. Stock tophats and bolts, the front camber is maxed at -1.4 degrees and there's probably about a half inch of space.

I didn't remove anything. There isn't any plastic in the rear wheel wells at all other than towards the bottom. There isn't even clips or holes back there for anything to attach to.

This past weekend was the 10th Annual Hypermeet held at Subaru of Canada headquarters!

Since I won our local forums Top model contest (car not me ) I had privileged parking next the the other winner. (yes that is a subru 360 beside me )

The event was a huge success with easily over 1000 people in attendance, and at the end of the day...

TSC top model award and Best GE/GH Impreza!!!

Hey Duvanator, Did the tuning shop you went to use Rom Raider to tune your car. If so is it possible for me to snag the base maps from you?

I'm not sure which method he used to open source the tune. But I do not have any files. Your best bet to see if my tuner can help is to email him. He is amazing at what he does. http://neetronics.com/

So today I auto-x'd and had a blast! but the most interesting part wasnt the race or where i placed... I found out that even with my 255 wide tires and naturally aspirated I was all wheel drifting the car around the course. yes this was on asphalt and yes it was AWDSOME!!!!

I still can't believe it, it was something i never expected, but thanks to my winter fun, i was able to hold it and do it again because I could!

I was used to just going into a corner and stomping on the gas to power out with the awd keeping me in line, but now since the tune and all the low end torque, when i stomp on it to power out of a corner i rotate the rear and initiate beast mode

I gopro'd my runs and will compile them together. not sure it the drifting was captured at any angle that shows it well enough.

(video to follow shortly)

Nice. Sounds like you need better tires.

Looking forward to the video. I want to see that rotation.

Yeah, although they are wide and Yokohama's, they are still an "all season" summer tire. but hey at $100 for all 4 I cant complain at all! Don't worry I know full well better tires will make 110% difference.

I'm only going out to have fun in the first place

And after reviewing and putting all 5 runs into one clip, no angle really caught the sliding to well.

make sure to watch in HD

I have ZERO drone, even when I had an open axel back. Two straight through in line resonators are to thank for that!

This is just to release more rumble. the current obx muffler (although less than half the size of stock) is still a little too good at "muffling" for my preference This magnaflow is 6" round, 14" long, where the current is a 6.5x10" oval, 18" long.

sounds awesome in videos yes, but to my ear can use a little more Plus with it being only $60 and a friend to weld it up, couldn't say no
