Default New to the club, need some advise on suspensions

Hello all. I have some questions for the masses regarding what is best for my car/driving style.

Car is a 99' 2.5 coupe, I drive hard, I use alot of weight shifting to help me around the turns(acceletor control, braking to shift weight, and dipping out then in - Im sure there is a proper term for this but I do not know what it is.

I am looking for a top of the line 18-20/21/22mm adj. sway bar, shocks struts and springs that WILL NOT LOWER MY CAR !!!!

Any advice and reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Drive Tight !

all aftermarket springs lower the car...due to increased spring rate and lowering the center of gravity..sounds like you need to save for coilovers so you can have the great handling and be able to adjust your ride to the desired height also..

Default Coilovers ?

What will the coil overs due ? And if I got adjustable KYB/AGX's or equiv. and coilovers would I still need new springs ?

Basically Coilover is a combo of springs/damper together, which is fully adjustable; that's why it costs way more than the Struts/Springs setup. In other words, you get either Coilover or Struts/Springs, NOT both.

If you change your suspension (plus great mount), then changing your sway bar to larger diameter is a good idea; usually 20/21mm works wonder.

Myself got the Prodrive WR, which will lower my car ~.75 inches, but nothing major. However, with my STi mounts I will be looking at a pretty stiff setup there

Agreeing with Basshead, you need Coilover if you want original ride height after changing suspension, but it will usually run you anyway from $1500 to $2500 (Yes, there are some cost way more but I am talking about the general).

Top of the line sway bar? Well I suggest Cusco

Good Luck!
