New flywheel, CEL
I got a Fidanza flywheel, 12.50lbs, (at ultrarev.com part number 110001), i was told that this will cause the CEL light to come on because its to light. Was wondering if anyone else had this problem, if so how to fix it.

Ignore the CEL, or turn the CEL off in the ECU. Lightened flywheels can cause misfire CELs. There is no way around it, other than turning the code off or ignoring it. Some people get it right away, some it takes a long time to come on.

You can usually have a tuner supress the CEL for you.
A light flywheel can cause a CEL from time to time. It's not usually a constant thing, I'd get mine just after rapid acceleration or after pulling in the clutch and letting the revs drop after driving in high revs. |

I am installing a lighter flywheel right now and I was wondering if the Cobb AP has the option to turn off that CEL? Sorry if this is considered hijacking.

I have the ACT Streetlite (not sure the weight), but my car doesn't throw a misfire CEL. I guess the Streetlite is heavier than your Fidanza.

I have this problem after installing a ACT prolite flywheel in my 03 wrx, but I have rattle/noise only when im slowing down while in gear. Push in clutch or accelerate again and noise goes away. Does this sound normal??

God damn it! I wish you kids would READ the sticky threads BEFORE buying stuff. Yes, it is all normal. That's what you get when you buy, then research. Research, then buy.....then you will be making an educated decision.
