Gosh I wish you were closer i have my stock 02 cat back with only 2500 miles on it Id love to sell. Shipping it to you would be silly expensive

The WRX will fit in terms of hangers but you need to weld up some piping on the mid section as the exhaust run from the DP to Cat Back are different in routing vs the NA stuff. If you can score a cheap WRX cat back system ( with larger muffler ) it should only be $75-100 to have a meineke or midus exhaust shop weld up an adapter pipe.

are WRX parts too expensive. I've been told that owning a WRX is too high maintenance.

Huh?

1) that original post was from 2002... 12 years ago. Thankfully I'm doing better in life than having had to drive a 1993 Impreza for the past 16 years.

2) Where did I mention a TS? I was asking about GD struts and springs on a GC. IIRC, they will fit, but the geometry will be wonky.

Ok, I see that now that I've looked back at the original posts... from the early 2000s.

Default Transmission Swap from 2.5 Legacy Outback to 2.2 Legacy both 1996 Model

I'm wanting to pull transmission from a 1996 Legacy Outback with a 2.5 liter fit and plug into my wife's Right Hand Drive 1996 Legacy with a 2.2 liter and work??? And I've done some research and I'm going to pull strut towers out and lift the Legacy L RHD up to Outback height and change rear brake drum system to rear disc brakes. I guess if rearend gear ratio is different will be changing out rear end diff. too? If anybody could help answer would be great but this looks like going to be an adventure for me. I should have an answer in a few days if nobody does to my questions and will post the out come on this. I do know some of this can be done the transmission is what is worrying me. Subaru help getting your mail to you rain sleet or snow Trying to make my wife's job just a little bit easier for this one is for work and not play.

Yes, but the windows are different. You'd have to swap the windows and adjust the stops. In 05 the power mirror switch moved from the console to the door panel, you'll lose your power mirror if you swap across those years, save for major rewiring.

Bumping this! Does anyone know if the side rearview mirrors between a 2015 WRX, Outback, Legacy, Crosstrek, etc. are interchangeable?

I just need the mirror cover, doesn't even need to be paint-matched.

With or without turn-signal, the following are interchangeable:
WRX 2015-2018
WRX STI 2015-2018
Crosstrek 2015-2017
Impreza 2015-2016
