Default OT: Need old computer parts..(P166-233)

Hey everyone..

This is an odd request: I'm fixing up couple of older computers so I'm trying to salvage some old parts from the Pentium 166mmx - 233mmx era, like around 1996-1997..

I'm specifically looking for 1 or 2 PCI video cards, ie. Diamond Stealth, Matrox Mystique, ATi Charger/Expression or better.. and RAM would be great too.. (EDO or not, it's cool)

So if anybody has some of that stuff lying around.. then maybe I can take them off your hands..!

Please please please!

Thanks for your help!
Ken.

PS - Why don't I just save up for a new computer? Because I just need a simple video upgrade.. I have no real need for a gamer's machine.

Default old computer parts

There are computer consignment stores around. The one I specifically know about is ?PC Galore? in Richmond.

Southwest Corner of Cambie and 4 Road.

They've got some fairly old computer parts there so give it a try.

Personally, I've got a couple of old Pentium's and a 486 at work.

If you want these you'll have to take the whole computer

At home I think I've got an ATI Rage2 ?mach64? $10 if you're willing to drive.

Hope this helps,

Jim

Thanks to those that has messaged me. I will get back to u all in the next couple of days.

Anything that can do 1024x768 at 75Hz True Color (24 or 32-bit True Color) is good enough for me.
