I'm not a mechanic but I forgot that I snapped this pic a few months ago. If you ever want your wheels painted, let a brother know. I had the pleasure of parking next to this idiot and had to take a pic.

Commuting every day through Jersey is scary enough as it is, then I saw this thread... time for me to invest in a jetpack to avoid all the road-tards

BTW the sticker says

I'LL HAVE 18 WHEELS
I've seen this idiocy quite a few times around here too. Some of them actually connect the exhaust to the stacks and inject some chemical that makes the exhaust come out black (intentionally). They also like to raise the truck really high, put a bad exhaust on, and basically eliminate every known form of performance from the vehicle.

While not quite as bad as some of the more recent submissions, here is my winner of the day.

2002 Ford Taurus
Customer complaint: Constant grinding noise while driving, burning smell. Check L/F tire losing air.
Suspected symptoms: Worn brakes, bead leak or nail.

Here's what I found.

A broken coil spring, wore through the back of the tire.

I almost had one better than this, but the customer didn't want to take it apart. 2005 Nissan Titan. Growling noise while decelerating... The rear diff pinion had 3/4" or more of in/out play.

I've seen stacks literally one foot in diameter in the back of trucks, that spew black clouds like no tomorrow. People and their trucks are ridiculous around here. Lifted like a monster truck, some have seat levels that are above my roof line by over a foot.

Then they see my dirty little impreza, and look at me like I'm crazy.

Did someone say stacks? This was in my buddies shop last week. I was helping him bolt up this turbo and an intercooler the size of montana.

As ridiculous as this looks, this truck has 1100hp and would make you whiz in your jockies.

I swear to god the amount of rear springs I've seen broken on Taurus's hahah. They are MONEY though as long as you get the strut bolt out without effing the spindle up.

Oh I'm retarded I just realized that's a front strut lol

looks like someone was to close to the big poles next to the banks. I watched as someone turned and side swipped their whole car with one of these poles. they hit it and stopped then hit the gas and kept going instead of turning their wheel the other way and getting out of the situatuation with less damage.

That raptor and that Lexus both are from Texas... I recognized the inspection/registration stickers in the windows. This state is, ummmm, different...

WOW. This thread has sooo much win in it! I wish I had known about it when I first joined, it very well might have been the first thread I posted in! I work in vehicle maintenance for the Air Force, and some of the crap we see seriously makes me wonder how some of these people got in.

But now that I know about this thread you can guarantee I'll have more pictures and stories for you all, but enough about me on to the first one:

So apparently someone from another squadron on base doesn't like the idea of seat belts. So much so that they took a knife and cut into all the way through the seat, thereby letting them loop the seat belt underneath the seat but still able to buckle it in. If it bothers you that much don't wear the F'ing seat belt!

What's even worse is that they didn't do it to one of the crappier older models, they did this to a newer '11 model! We still got the last laugh though, because we're not giving them back that one, they get one of the beat to hell '98 models.
